First Look: ‘Secrets’ Music Video for ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,’ New Promos

OneRepublic’s smash hit Secrets is prominently featured in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer and Walt Disney Studios Russia has offered up this cut of the popular music video which replaces the non-performance segments with clips from the upcoming movie. Interestingly enough, the scene where Balthazar Blake’s (Nicolas Cage) car flips through a mirror and exits into the streets of a reversed-New York was flipped in the video, so everything appears to be normal (the scene where older Dave first encounters Balthazar is also flipped, although that’s less of a plot point).

Extended Five-Minute Clip from ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice:’ Dave’s First Lesson

Yahoo! Movies has unveiled this five-minute extended clip from the beginning of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Walt Disney Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer.

In the clip, young Dave Stutler (Jake Cherry) meets his future mentor Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) for the first time, at Blake’s shop, the Arcana Cabana. While Balthazar goes to dig out homework for his young apprentice, curious Dave stumbles upon the Grimhold, a prison for the most evil and dangerous of sorcerers. The first sorcerer to be released from the Grimhold is Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina), a centuries-old rival of Balthazar in more ways than one…

Orlando Officer Arrested for Illegally Selling Theme Park Tickets, Used Hotel Keys

According to WOFL, FOX Orlando, Orlando police officer Wendell Robey turned himself in this morning on charges that he illegally sold complimentary theme park passes. Investigators say Robey also sold used hotel key ‘add-ons’ so that guests could take advantage of certain perks limited to on-site guests such as Disney’s free parking and extra magic hour (EMH) access and Universal’s express line service for attractions. Robey was one of four that investigators were seeking out on related charges.

Marvel Television to Produce Live-Action Dramas for ABC, ABC Family

Jeph Loeb, who was recently appointed head of Marvel’s new Television department provides this Marvel.com exclusive clip in which he talks about current and new projects that fall under his watch such as Disney XD’s The Avengers, Ultimate Spider-Man and Cartoon Network’s Marvel Super Hero Squad, but he also hints at new hour-long dramas that are being planned for ABC and ABC Family, television networks also under the banner of The Walt Disney Company.

In the video, which you can watch above, Loeb vaguely talks about the future plans for the new dramas, but does say that more news will be released at the upcoming San Diego Comic-con in San Diego, California.

J. David Davis Named President and General Manager of WABC-TV New York

J. David (Dave) Davis, executive vice president, ABC News, has been named president and general manager of WABC-TV in New York, the ABC Television Stations Group’s flagship station in the nation’s largest television market, it was announced today by Rebecca S. Campbell, president of the ABC Television Stations Group. The appointment of Mr. Davis, an executive with 30 years experience in the station business, is effective immediately, and marks a return to the number one station that he successfully managed from 2003-07.
