Earlier today,Walt Disney Studios sent us several new hi-res stills from the action-packed Jerry Bruckheimer thriller Prince of Persia: Sands of Time starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, et al. The newly released images also feature Alfred Molina and Toby Kebbell (both of whom also star in Disney’s and Jerry Bruckheimer’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice later this summer) along with Richard Coyle, Reece Ritchie, Thomas DuPont and Steve Toussaint.
Filmmakers called on Gipsy Kings for a flamenco-flavored rendition of ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ in Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3. The world-famous band recorded ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me (Para Buzz Español)’ in London at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.

In honor of the film’s theme which revolves around a dagger with which the possessor can manipulate time, Walt Disney Studios is rolling out the red carpet around the world, with separate events across five different time zones, on Sunday, May 9.
The film’s stars (including Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley) will appear via satellite for each of the international events which begin in Australia, followed by Asia, Europe and Central America.
The world premiere itself takes place at Westfield London which is undergoing a massive transformation to become a Persian city. Fifteen members of 3RUN will be on hand to provide a live, breath-taking parkour demonstration before the screening.
The “Lost” series finale event just got bigger with a half-hour extension of the finale episode, SUNDAY, MAY 23 from 9:00-11:30, p.m., ET, on the ABC Television Network. With so much story to tell, the timeslot needed to be expanded. Preceding the finale will be the retrospective special, “Lost: The Final Journey,” from 7:00-9:00 p.m., ET, which takes a look back over the past six seasons of this groundbreaking show. Additionally, Jimmy Kimmel bids farewell to “Lost” in his own indelible manner on “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost,” airing from 12:05-1:05 a.m., ET.
New Jonas Brothers music, a new So-Cal setting and a new serialized comedy format mark Season Two of the Teen Choice Award-winning series “JONAS,” newly named “JONAS L.A.,” premiering SUNDAY, JUNE 20 (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. It stars pop culture superstars Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas, Chelsea Staub and Nicole Anderson. The Jonas Brothers also star in the short-form series “Jonas Brothers Living the Dream 2,” which gives viewers unprecedented access to their lives on stage and off during their European tour, and in the contemporary movie musical, “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” premiering Friday, September 3 on Disney Channel.

Buzz Lightyear and Woody return to theaters in Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3, opening in June, but they’re making a stop at Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) first. The day of reckoning has come, dear readers.
A friend sent us a link to these YouTube videos showing Mickey Mouse greeting a couple of fans at Toontown in Disneyland a couple of days ago and it appears that the technology first used in the character heads of the Dream Along with Mickey Castle show at Magic Kingdom may very well have found its way into the meet & greet scenario in a huge way (and with some further enhancements).
If you can’t wait for the Main Street Electrical Parade and the rest of Summer Nightastic at Walt Disney World this year, or if you can’t go, here’s a little taste to help bring the magic home to you.
The theme is titled I Want to Go and it pretty much explains it all, although I must confess it ends up sounding more like a commercial for Coney Island to me, if not Dave & Buster’s.
