The newest chef at Walt Disney World Resort may be small in stature, but he’s a big hit with guests enjoying haute cuisine at Les Chefs de France in Epcot. With his flair for French fare, diners of all ages are eating up his whimsical tableside visits.

His name is Remy, and he’s the rat-turned-chef made famous in the Academy Award-winning Disney•Pixar film “Ratatouille.” A new Audio-Animatronicscharacter created by Walt Disney Imagineering, Remy stars in a new guest experience at Les Chefs de France entitled “Bon Appétit from Chef Remy.” Les Chefs de France is one of the restaurants featured at the France pavilion in Epcot.

Fatal Accident at WDW Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured (Updated)

News4Jax.com is reporting on an vehicular accident that took place on Walt Disney World property on Sunday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a driver ended up swerving off the road into the path of an oncoming tour bus, killing the driver and sending three passengers on the bus for treatment for minor injuries.. The accident occurred between the Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary Resort. Read the original article here.

UPDATE: Additional reports have confirmed the driver to be 47 year old Teresa Scarborough of Clermont, Florida and the number of persons treated for injuries is two. One report notes the bus was ‘parked’ while another indicates Scarborough lost control of the car and crossed into the lane of the oncoming traffic, according to the FHP.

Walt Disney World Website Publishes Restaurant Menus in PDF Format

The official Walt Disney World website has begun posting PDF versions of its menus for Table Service Locations. THE BIG CHEESE: Famed French Chef Paul Bocuse introduces his grandson — also named Paul Bocuse — to a new Audio-Animatronics figure named “Remy” April 3, 2009 at Les Chefs de France restaurant at Epcot in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Remy, made famous in Disney’s Academy Award-winning animated film “Ratatouille,” is featured at the restaurant in a new guest experience called “Bon Appetit from Chef Remy.” The Audio-Animatronics figure — the smallest ever created by Walt Disney Imagineering — interacts with diners inside the restaurant. Through Sept. 5, Remy will make appearances in the dining room during specific times.

ABC Daytime and SOAPNet Present Stagecoach Country Music Festival in California

ABC Daytime and SOAPnet have signed on as the presenting sponsor of the 2009 Stagecoach Country Music Festival powered by Toyota. The event, held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, will be a part of ABC Daytime and SOAPnet’s Soap Nation Tour, an ongoing initiative to bring the stars to more fans in more cities more often.
