Disney Brings ABC and ESPN Content to YouTube

It is now being reported that Disney and Google have reached an agreement in which Disney will provide short-form videos from its ABC and ESPN libraries via ad-supported branded channels. The ESPN channel is set to launch first in mid-April with the ABC channel (including SOAPnet) to follow in May.

LOS ANGELES, Calif., (March 30, 2009) – Disney Cruise Line announced today that it plans to reposition the Disney Wonder from its Florida base in Port Canaveral to the West Coast in 2011. The company is working with the Port of Los Angeles to finalize a two-year agreement with a three-year extension option. The contract will be considered by the Port of Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners on April 2, 2009.

If approved, the new Disney Wonder sailings could generate more than 250,000 guests passing through the Port of Los Angeles over a five-year period.

Earning distinction as two of the world’s best Jungle Cruise skippers, Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members Beth Schafer and Alex Williams were recently chosen to represent the resort at Tokyo Disney Resort’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.

Emerging from their helm in the darkest wilds of the Magic Kingdom, Schafer and Williams earned their overseas excursion thanks to their knack for spinning humorous spiels and stories. They competed against 35 skippers to win their spots, auditioning in front of a panel of judges from Walt Disney World and Walt Disney Imagineering who scored them on performance and punch lines. In Anaheim, Jungle Cruise skippers Kevin Lively and Mickey Wright were chosen as representatives of the Disneyland Resort.

BURBANK, Calif.–The government will look to a new type of secret agent to help protect the planet this summer – an elite force of guinea pigs. Disney Interactive Studios today announced it will publish the G-Force video game, inspired by the upcoming feature film “G-Force” from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
