Disney today announced a stunning collection of apparel and accessories inspired by its upcoming feature Alice In Wonderland, Tim Burton’s highly anticipated film, featuring favorite characters from the classic Lewis Carroll tales, releasing on the big screen on March 5, 2010 (U.S. theaters). Disney Consumer Products (DCP) collaborated with renowned jewelry designer, Tom Binns, leading fashion designer Sue Wong and Swarovski, the world’s largest producer of cut crystals, to create an interpretive line that brings the allure and mystery of the film and characters to life.

As part of the Alice fashion experience, DCP and Bloomingdale’s have joined forces to create one-of-a-kind window displays at Bloomingdale’s flagship 59th Street store in New York City. The windows will feature props from the film and highlight a selection of items from the designer line including Sue Wong for Walt Disney Signature dresses and Tom Binns for Walt Disney Signature jewelry. The windows at 59th street will be complemented by a special exhibit in the contemporary sportswear department on the second floor, which will feature select costumes and props detailed with information from the film.

In addition, seven Bloomingdale’s stores across the U.S. including the NY flagship store will enhance their Alice In Wonderland merchandise displays with special signage and video screens that will play behind-the-scenes footage and select bonus material. The stores include Beverly Center, CA, Century City, CA, San Francisco, CA, South Coast Plaza, CA, Aventura, FL and Short Hills, NJ. The Bloomingdale’s Alice In Wonderland-inspired windows and in-store displays are planned to set in early March.

Siemens Displays Unique ‘Smart Chopper’ from Orange County Choppers at Innoventions

It may be hard to separate the rev from the motorcycle, but guests at Innoventions at Epcot recently had the opportunity to learn more about a quieter kind of bike made by Siemens.

This new environmentally friendly electric motorcycle known as the “Smart Chopper” is a one-of-a-kind, custom electric American chopper designed by renowned motorcycle manufacturer Orange County Choppers. Building on its reputation for leading-edge innovation and quality, Siemens’ team of engineers designed the bike to travel as fast as 60 mph on a single charge using new and recycled materials.

MySpace Music Exclusively Debuts Single from ‘Almost Alice’ Soundtrack; Full Album to Follow

MySpace Music will exclusively premiere songs from the upcoming Alice in Wonderland soundtrack Almost Alice, beginning with 3OH!3’s ‘Follow Me Down.’ In the upcoming weeks, MySpace is set to debut more tracks from the soundtrack including ‘Alice’ from Avril Lavigne on February 4 and ‘Painting Flowers’ from All Time Low, all leading up to streaming the entire album on February 28.

Disney’s Phineas and Ferb and Common Sense Media Launch Internet Safety PSA

Disney has teamed with Common Sense Media to help kids and tweens safely navigate the internet and other digital platforms and to get parents thinking about how media and technology fit into their family’s life. The initiative includes a PSA and website which feature the characters from Disney’s hit animated series “Phineas and Ferb” and supports Common Sense Media’s “Rules of the Road” for smart and safe use of digital media. The tips include guarding privacy and protecting one’s identity while online, balancing time spent in cyberspace and thinking before texting or posting material online.

Hundreds of Walt Disney World Cast Members Voluntear at ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ Telethon

Lending a helping hand through their expertise in guest service, approximately 400 Walt Disney World Cast Members volunteered to answer more than 15,000 calls for the “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon and route donations to disaster relief organizations participating in the historic event. The benefit, which featured more than 100 of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, aired worldwide on major networks and cable outlets on Jan. 22 and raised more than $61 million for earthquake disaster relief.

Disney to Kick Off ‘Alice in Wonderland’ Promotion Across Three Networks, Super Bowl Ad

Not quite mad as a hatter with anticipation for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland yet? You will be.

Beginning January 31, Walt Disney Studios will begin offering 60-second first looks across three networks, each providing its own exclusive sneak peek at the film, all culminating to a spectacular ad during the Super Bowl titled Tick-Tock.

You can catch ABC’s version during Desperate Housewives on January 31 and The Bachelor on February 1; ESPN’s version during the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl on January 31 and during the NBA Nuggets-Lakers game on February 5; and ABC Family’s during Greek on Febuary 1 and The Parent Trap on February 6.
