Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Imperioli enjoys an early birthday meal of spaghetti and meatballs March 17, 2009 at “Tony’s Town Square” restaurant at the Magic Kingdom theme park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Imperioli, who starred on the acclaimed HBO series “The Sopranos,” can be seen on the ABC series “Life on Mars.” The actor/writer/producer, who was born March 26, is celebrating his birthday with his family at Walt Disney World Resort. On “The Sopranos,” Imperioli won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Tony Soprano’s nephew, Christopher Moltisanti.

Disney Channel stars Mitchel Musso (“Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb”) and Tiffany Thornton (“Sonny With A Chance”) perform the new high-energy pop dance song, “Let It Go,” from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, “Hatching Pete,” in a music video to debut SATURDAY, MARCH 28 (7:20 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Selena Gomez Stars in Safe Driving Campaign by Disney Channel and State Farm

Disney Media Advertising Sales and Marketing Group has signed State Farm as a sponsor of Disney Channel in an agreement that calls for 30-second messages designed to empower young viewers to influence safe driving and to make a difference in their families’ lives. The messages feature 16-year-old star Selena Gomez (of Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”) and will rotate during Disney Channel’s primetime programming block, the market leader among Kids age 6-14.

The messages have debuted today on Disney Channel and www.statefarm.com/teendriving.

Avatars Reveal Fun Facts About ‘Aaron Stone’ During TV Marathon March 27

Disney XD’s signature series, “Aaron Stone,” will be seen in a seven-episode marathon that includes special trivia on-air and online, in “Disney XD For Real: Aaron Stone Edition,” airing FRIDAY, MARCH 27 (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.

Disney XD avatars “Sk8r,” “Tekhed,” “INsdr,” “gthgrl,” “Hllywrd” and “gAmr” will present behind-the-scenes footage and trivia about the series’ special effects, the cast’s martial arts training and gamer jargon. The fun facts include that there are six custom-made Aaron Stone suits (three for actor Kelly Blatz and three for his stunt double), and that Kelly Blatz spent several weeks in martial arts training to prepare for his role as Aaron Stone.

Viewers can also log onto www.DisneyXD.com to watch an encore presentation of “Disney XD For Real: Aaron Stone Edition” (beginning at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT) and take a quiz for a chance to earn online rewards/trophies. Users can also create a unique 3D avatar representation of themselves. By playing games and completing special challenges, guests will be able to collect exclusive items to then transform their avatars.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (March 17, 2009) — Chef Cat Cora and Disney are joining together to open an exciting new family dining restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Kouzzina by Cat Cora will feature a menu of Mediterranean-style cuisine that pays tribute to the chef’s Greek roots.

The restaurant, to be owned and operated by Disney, is scheduled to open by fall 2009 in the space currently occupied by Spoodles.

Hong Kong Disneyland Expansion Frozen, Dozens Laid Off

Bloomberg is reporting that against the hopes of the Hong Kong government, Disney has halted all creative and development work in terms of expanding its Hong Kong Disneyland, resulting in a layoff of about 30 employees.
