Southern California families looking for value and the best way to spend their entertainment dollars will find an unbeatable offer at the Disneyland Resort in the new year. With the “Southern California Resident 2fer Ticket,” guests will be immersed in the magic of fun attractions and high quality entertainment at Disneyland or Disney’s California Adventure park on one day, and then come back on another day to play in the other park – for free.*
Now that the 2fer ticket is back, here are some tips on how to make the most of a deal that gives fans of the Disneyland Resort two days of magic and adventure for only $36 a day per person.**
Plan ahead: This is a limited-time offer. Guests must purchase and use a “Southern California Resident 2fer Ticket” in one theme park by April 12, 2010. Then they can bring the ticket back within 30 days to play all day in the other park – for free.
Double the fun: Go wild in both Disney parks, making this a special time for residents of Southern California to enjoy the fun, entertainment, restaurants, shows and attractions that are found in Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks. The two parks feature a mix of classic attractions and immersive experiences that will entertain guests of all ages.
Celebrate special occasions at the Disneyland Resort: With a 2fer ticket, guests can visit one park in honor of a special day – perhaps their birthday or anniversary – and come back to play in the other park for a second celebration. It could be a championship season, an engagement or a child’s first visit to see Mickey Mouse.
Disney Cruise Line, the leader in family cruising, is once again reinventing onboard children’s experiences. Through an entirely new approach to youth activities, kids can let their imaginations set sail by customizing their cruise vacation. More youth activities than ever before are available and children choose experiences based on interest, not age.
Exciting new youth activities and dedicated children’s spaces are available now on the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder and are coming to the Disney Dream beginning with the ship’s maiden voyage in January 2011.
“The changes within Disney Cruise Line youth activities will allow children freedom to create a customized experience onboard our ships,” said Disney Cruise Line Vice President of Entertainment Jim Urry. “Children can select their own adventures and immersive experiences for a truly personalized, memorable cruise vacation.”
On Disney Cruise Line, children can personalize their cruise vacation by selecting activities and events, regardless of age. Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are open to children age 3 to 12 on the Disney Wonder and age 3 to 10 on the Disney Magic.
While Disney Cruise Line will continue to recommend activities that appeal to specific maturity levels and ages, the entire menu of offerings is open to every child. With this evolutionary approach to shipboard youth activities, children and parents select programs based on the specific interests of each child to create a customized and very personalized experience. Best of all, children of different ages — siblings, extended family and friends — can participate in youth activities together throughout their cruise.
The majority of children’s events and free-time activities occur within dedicated youth spaces on the ship and on Castaway Cay. As always, Disney Cruise Line youth activities are supervised by specially trained, experienced counselors.
Specific program information is available to guests on the day of check-in at the Youth Activities registration desk located in the Disney cruise ship terminal building prior to boarding, or onboard in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab.
The closing of 2009 saw the end of an era for New York City in that the World of Disney, located in the world-famous Fifth Avenue shopping area, shuttered its doors forever. A taste of the Disney Parks, the World of Disney store was a sister store to its Downtown Disney counterparts, offering NYC residents and tourists the opportunity to purchase theme park merchandise, Disney on Broadway merchandise and — of course — NYC branded merchandise, some of which eventually became available at Youse Guys Moichendise in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Without any kind of formal announcement or confirmation, it appears as through the Walt Disney World official site may have announced the dates for the 2010 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival as October 1 through November 14, 2010.
Even before the show set sail back in November, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee was causing waves of excitement at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. With the show advertised to end on January 3, many were disappointed but then turned optimistic when the official site began listing the show as continuing beyond the expected final date.
While we are sad to report that the show is in fact ending today (and is explicitly listed as being performed only today on the Magic Kingdom’s Times Guide for this week), we thought we’d offer some hope of our own for those who missed the opportunity to see the moving spectacle.
