Total Intelligence Solutions and the Terrorism Research Center (TRC), companies owned by Blackwater founder Erik Prince, were contracted by several U.S. Corporations including The Walt Disney Company, according to a recent report by The Nation‘s Jeremy Scahill.
According to the report, which cites Blackwater internal documents:
‘The Walt Disney Company hired Total Intelligence and TRC to do a “threat assessment” for potential film shoot locations in Morocco, with former CIA officials [Cofer] Black and [Robert] Richer reaching out to their former Moroccan intel counterparts for information. The job provided a “good chance to impress Disney,” one company executive wrote. How impressed Disney was is not clear; in 2009 the company paid Total Intelligence just $24,000.’
Walt Disney World has added a page for its Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to the official website. The resort, which replaces the original proposed Pop Century: Legendary Years resort, is slated to open in summer of 2012.

While The Little Mermaid section will consist of 864 ‘sea-inspired’ rooms, The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo sections will offer a total of 1,120 family suites, each consisting of: 1 master bedroom; 2 bathrooms; and 3 separate sleeping areas which includes a ‘Inovabed,’ a pull-out bed that transforms from a dining or work table as opposed to a sofa. The suites will sleep up to six.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Disney is teaming up with Nielsen to produce an app for the iPad which will allow the app to provide content in real-time along with the broadcast of its new drama ‘My Generation.’
According to the article, the app will provide interactive opportunities for the viewer who will be able to participate in polls, trivia, twitter feeds and the like, all in relation to the specific program they are watching, whenever they are watching it. The app takes advantage of technology developed by Nielsen called audio watermarking in which the app’s content is triggered by audio cues from the television program through the iPad’s built-in microphone, which means the app will work even if the viewer is watching the show on a DVR.
