ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 11) – Disneyland Resort glows like never before this summer with the exciting, after-dark entertainment of Summer Nightastic!: a new fireworks spectacular, “Magical,” starring Dumbo the flying elephant; Tinker Bell’s “pixie magic” in “Disney’s Electrical Parade”; sensational new characters and special effects in “Fantasmic!” – and more.
“This summer is all about new surprises at nighttime,” said Ed Grier, president of Disneyland Resort. “With the sparkling Summer Nightastic! entertainment and our valuable summer offers, Disneyland Resort will be the hottest spot in Southern California this summer for kids of all ages.”
To enjoy all the fun, guests will find special ticket offers and vacation packages at Disneyland.com, including the Summer Fun Pass for residents of Southern California and Northern Baja, and a “2 Nights Free” offer at Disneyland Resort hotels and Resort Good Neighbor hotels. The special hotel deal provides guests five days and nights of Disneyland fun, for the price of three.
Nighttime entertainment, always an exciting part of summer at Disneyland Resort, appears in a whole new light – bigger, bolder and brighter – during Summer Nightastic! Dumbo makes his debut in the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle in the “Magical” fireworks spectacular and Tinker Bell leads the way in “Disney’s Electrical Parade.” New creatures will thrill guests in this summer’s “Fantasmic!” show, rockin’ bands and DJs heat up a great new dance club in Tomorrowland and the fairies of Pixie Hollow play under the lights for the first time. Later this summer, a new, 40-foot-tall dragon will breathe fire across the Rivers of America in “Fantasmic!”
Summer Nightastic! continues nightly through Sunday, Aug. 23, at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks. “Magical” fireworks continue through Labor Day weekend.

“Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana,” the crossover event of summer that intersects three hit series and superstars among kids and tweens, will be presented FRIDAY, JULY 17 (8:00 – 9:30 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The 90-minute telecast stars the casts of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana,” “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “The Suite Life on Deck” including stars Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song and Debby Ryan.

“Jonas Day,” a programming event dedicated to the multi-platinum recording artists and TV stars the Jonas Brothers, will be presented TUESDAY, JUNE 16 (10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. BURBANK, Calif., LONDON and PARIS, June 11 — Disneynature has acquired the North American and Mexican distribution rights to the exciting new underwater film “OceanWorld 3D,” the first feature-length nature documentary ever filmed and released in 3D, it was announced today by Jean-Francois Camilleri, executive vice president and general manager for Disneynature, and Francois Mantello, chairman of 3D Entertainment.
The film is presented by Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the legendary Captain Jacques- Yves Cousteau, and was directed and produced respectively by veteran filmmakers Jean- Jacques & Francois Mantello (“Sharks 3D,” “Ocean Wonderland 3D,” “Dolphins and Whales 3D: Tribes of the Ocean”). This deal marks the first collaboration between Disneynature and 3D Entertainment, a company founded in 2001 to produce unique and immersive 3D story-driven experiences for audiences of all ages. “OceanWorld 3D,” an 85-minute feature film, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Annual Film Market last month, and will be released theatrically in France and Russia starting this August. The film’s North America debut will be announced at a later date.
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The latest Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, has opened its doors.
The new resort area includes 60 three-bedroom villa “treehouses,” which are built on pedestals amid forested glens, giving guests great views of surrounding nature.
According to Jim Lewis, president of DVC, the Treehouse Villas add new character to the vacation properties available in the DVC portfolio.
“Our founder Walt Disney was well-known for having one foot in the past and one in the future. This new resort development shares that dynamic sensibility, blending modern luxury and design with the nostalgic spirit of one of the most storied resorts at the Walt Disney World Resort,” he said.
