“It has been seven years since we first had X Games events at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and ESPN couldn’t be more thrilled to be returning this year with several of our sports,” said Jack Wienert, ESPN executive director, X Games Event Management. “As the X Games franchise continues to grow, we are proud and excited about our continued great relationship with AEG as we expand our presence this year downtown at STAPLES Center and L.A. LIVE.”
Lee Zeidman, STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre and L.A. LIVE Sr. Vice President & General Manager, said: “STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre, L.A. LIVE and AEG are incredibly excited to expand our partnership with ESPN and the X Games in downtown Los Angeles. The ability to activate the entire L.A. LIVE campus for four days with non stop X Games events is something that everyone is really looking forward to this summer, and X Games 16 will undoubtedly be an experience fans will not want to miss.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to have the X Games back at the Coliseum,” said Pat Lynch, general manager for the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum & Sports Arena. “As the original home to the precursor of the X Games, the original motocross, we truly appreciate and love showcasing this world-class action sports event.”
A second season of “I’m In The Band,” a music-filled, live-action comedy series about a teenager who realizes his wildest dream when he joins his favorite “vintage” rock band, has been ordered by Disney XD, it was announced today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production will resume in June in Hollywood, California.
The new season finds the band inching their way closer to an epic comeback and includes a one-hour special where Tripp joins arch-rival rock band Metal Wolf. Iron Weasel attempts to lure him back during Metal Wolf’s performance at the Super Bowl, and by happenstance, ends up stealing the spotlight.
We have just received these new stills from Walt Disney Studios’ Secretariat starring Diane Lane and John Malkovich.
Based on the remarkable true story, Secretariat chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father’s Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.

A press junket and photocall were offered yesterday in support of Disney/Marvel’s upcoming summer blockbuster Iron Man 2. In attendance for the photocall were Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Ironman), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (Lt. Col. James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes), Scarlett Johansson (Natalie Rushman/Natasha Romanoff), Mickey Rourke (Ivan Vanko) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan/Director).
We’d like to thank Paramount Pictures for providing us with these images which were taken by Jason Merritt/Getty Images and Michael Buckner/WireImage. Furthermore, we feel obligated to note that the disproportionate number of Scarlett Johansson photos was in fact an editorial decision.
Thanks to the Disney Food Blog, we have learned that the fabulous and exclusive ‘Dining with an Imagineer’ program is once again offering the dinner option, this time at the Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Although the program has always offered a lunch option at Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s, Hollywood Brown Derby, the dinner has been touch-and-go, last offered at Artist Point, but some time ago.
