Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
Production has begun on the animated series “Miles From Tomorrowland,” a space adventure for preschoolers. Slated to debut in 2015 on Disney Junior channels and programming blocks around the world, the series follows the outer space voyages of young adventurer Miles and his family. The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.
Kanter said, “We hope this series will influence a child’s interest in science and technology by introducing them at an early age to the exciting world of space exploration, how things work and what lies beyond the here and now.”
Disney Channel taps into a three-dimensional “geek chic” comedy adventure with “How to Build a Better Boy,” a present day take on a futuristic story starring Disney Channel star China Anne McClain (“A.N.T. Farm”) and Disney XD star Kelli Berglund (“Lab Rats”). Set in Washington, DC, the storyline follows high school sophomores Mae Hartley (Berglund) and Gabby Harrison (McClain), two tech-savvy best friends who devise a plan to create the perfect boyfriend with just a few strokes of the keyboard and a wireless connection. What Gabby and Mae don’t realize is that the computer they use is set up to generate a robotic super soldier, which they have inadvertently activated in the form of Albert, a macho yet sensitive super cute boy.

ABC’s hit TV series, “Revenge,” introduced Emily Thorne (portrayed by Emily VanCamp) and her complex mission. The show’s storyline has hinted at Emily’s covert training on remote Rebun Island with master Takeda. ABC has cast Kelly Reilly (Flight, Sherlock Holmes) as Dr. Elizabeth Black in the limited series ‘The Black Box,’ a 13-episode drama scheduled to air in 2014 on the ABC Television Network. Reilly plays a world-famous neuroscientist who unwraps the mysteries of the brain as she juggles complex issues of her own.
