A smaller version of Jenny Chung’s Lilo CosPlay Experiment 626 figure was available exclusively as a purchase with purchase at the D23 Expo in 2009. Guests who made a qualifying purchase (it was the TRON-painted V.I.N.CENT for myself) were able to purchase up to three of the CosPlay figures for $23 each. To their credit, however, MINDstyle added to each pre-order an additional figure gratis due to some complications with order fulfillment. Now Chung has followed up with a new Lilo CosPlay figure inspired by the Experiment 626 project, this time Lilo is dressed as Stitch’s gal-pal, Angel. Perhaps most remarkable of all, MINDstyle says it will be available at select Disney Store locations this holiday season.

The Associated Press is reporting that an investigation from the United States Department of Labor resulted in the decision that Walt Disney World owes 69 of its inventory control cast members in the food and beverage department $433,000 in back wages.
The report charges that the theme park resort violated the Fair Labor Standards Act because managers in the department failed to adhere to internal company policies regarding off-the-clock work. The time involved work performed by the cast members not only before and after scheduled work shift hours, but during meal times and from home as well.
What happens to a family when a child’s birth becomes a medical mystery? Barbara Walters reports on Kaylee Halko and Lindsay Ratcliffe, two vibrant young girls who suffer from a rapid aging disease called progeria, a fatal condition that currently affects 68 known children in the world. The disease causes children to age at 10 times the normal rate. It’s extremely rare – occurring in only one in four to eight million births – and always fatal. On average, children die at the age of 13.
Walters also interviews one of the oldest surviving children with progeria and explores the secrets of aging that her body may reveal.

“Fish Hooks,” an imaginative, eye-catching and funny animated series revolving around three tweens, Milo, Bea and Oscar (who happen to be fish), as they navigate the choppy waters of high school, will premiere FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. An 11-minute preview of the series will get the coveted timeslot following “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” on Friday, September 3.
