‘Disney Channel Holiday Playlist’ Tracklist Filled with Disney Channel Star Power

Walt Disney Imagineering Suggests ‘Country Bear Jamboree’ Show Changes A Comin’

Ever since its refurbishment was announced back in May, speculations have run rampant about changes being made to ‘Country Bear Jamboree,’ located in Frontierland of the Magic Kingdom theme park in Walt Disney World. Initial rumors had the show being cut in length and have since grown to include cutting out peripheral characters out completely to the return of the holiday overlay and more. The only certain element regarding the rumors was that for every rumor proposed, there was at least another that contradicted it and proposed something else.

While it’s not 100% confirmation, paperwork filed today at the Orange County Comptroller’s office by Walt Disney Imagineering show intentions of modifying both the lighting and the show control, which is a strong indication that there will in fact be modifications to the show, although how exactly will remain to be seen when the attraction re-opens on October 17, 2012.

Prior to these filings, the only related paperwork has been in regards to general refurbishment and construction as well as electrical work supplied by Ermco of Florida.

‘Disney Epic Mickey 2′ Fort Wasteland Screens, Gameplay, Concept Art and Vintage Frontierland Photos

'Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two' Screenshot (NextGen)

At the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) this weekend in Seattle, Warren Spector and Junction Point Studio will be unveiling a brand new level from ‘Disney Epic Mickey 2,’ which attendees will be among the first to experience. Fort Wasteland, as the area will be known (formerly the Disney Gulch), is based on Frontierland as it appeared at the Disneyland theme park in 1955, featuring attractions such as the Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland and Fort Wilderness on Tom Sawyer Island.

To celebrate the new area, Disney Interactive has shared with us newly released concept art and screen shots for the area along with gameplay video (available within the hour). The Disney Archives has also graciously released two photos from Disneyland’s Frontierland in 1955 which we also share in the gallery below:

Worth noting is that one of the screenshots features a screen that reads Music Land, indicating that the 1935 short will be one of the side-scrolling homage levels in the game, joining The Old Mill.

In addition to experiencing the new area of the game, visitors to the booth (North Hall #642) will also have the opportunity to receive a sketch from a Disney Character Sketch Artist, giveaways and more.

Available to own November 18, 2012 on all consoles, the ‘Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two’ video game returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with more than 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners – Mickey with the magical paint brush that allows him to wield paint and thinner, and Oswald with a powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity.

‘Dog with a Blog’ to Premiere November 4 on Disney Channel

Disney Channel has quietly launched a micro site of its upcoming family comedy series, ‘Dog with a Blog,’ which announces the show will premiere on November 4, 2012 at 8 pm. The microsite can be found by visiting SEESTANBLOG.COM.

In ‘Dog With A Blog,’ Tyler and Avery are new step-siblings. Tyler is popular, charismatic and seems to get by solely on his looks, and Avery is smart, socially responsible and despises guys like Tyler. However, the biggest adjustment for the newly blended family comes with their new dog Stan – who talks and blogs. He’s smart, a bit of a trouble maker and loves his new family, who must keep his marvelous ability a secret. Stan’s canine point of view, whether in the home, in the yard or on his blog, helps the kids navigate both their new sibling situation and ultimately, becomes the tie that binds the family of six (Tyler, Avery, little sister Chloe, Mom, Dad and Stan). Even though he talks and likes a lot of ‘human’ things, Stan is still pure dog. He chases his tail, barks at mailmen, ardently approaches poodles and is not so wild about cats.

Starring are: G. Hannelius (“Den Brother,” “Good Luck Charlie”), Blake Michael (“Lemonade Mouth”), Francesca Capaldi (“A.N.T. Farm”), Beth Littleford (“I’m in the Band,” “Crazy, Stupid Love,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”), Regan Burns (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) and Stephen Full (“I’m in the Band”) as the voice of Stan the dog. Kuma (Stan) is a Husky/Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix who was rescued from a shelter. He is trained by Guin Dill and Steve Solomon of Good Dog Animals, an animal company with over 40 years combined experience in the motion picture and TV industry.

‘Crash & Bernstein’ to Premiere on Disney XD October 8

Disney XD’s “Crash & Bernstein,” a “bro-comedy” that follows Wyatt Bernstein, the only son among four kids, whose new puppet, Crash, comes to life and becomes his loud-mouthed surrogate brother who knows no limits, premieres Monday, October 8 at 8:30 pm ET/PT.

In the premiere episode, “Crash Lands,” Wyatt Bernstein is reluctantly taken to a Build-A-Bestie store for his birthday and, while there, creates a boy-filled version of a Bestie, a puppet he names Crash, who comes to life as the brother he always wanted. Crash finds Wyatt living in a household full of sisters, including popular 16-year-old Amanda, fashion-forward middle sister Cleo and assertive 6-year-old Jasmine, so he comes up with a plan to help Wyatt get his own room. But, Crash’s plan soon backfires, jeopardizing the relationship with his new brother.

Starring are newcomer Cole Jensen as Wyatt, Emmy Award-nominated puppet master and filmmaker Tim Lagasse (“Johnny and the Sprites,” “Between the Lions”) as Crash, Oana Gregory (“Lab Rats”) as Amanda, Landry Bender (“The Sitter”) as Cleo and Aaron R. Landon (“New Girl”) as Pesto. Recurring are Mary Birdsong (“Reno 911″) as Mel and Mckenna Grace as Jasmine.

“Crash & Bernstein” was created by Eric Friedman (“Austin & Ally,” “I’m In The Band”) and is executive-produced by Friedman and Emmy Award nominee Mike Larsen (“Real Time with Bill Maher,” “Rodney”). Jim Armogida and Steve Armogida (“Grounded for Life”) serve as consulting producers. The puppet was designed and built by Chiodo Brothers Productions, Inc, based in Burbank, California. The series is a production of It’s A Laugh Productions, Inc.

On Monday, September 17, DisneyXD.com/Crash invites fans to “Crash This Site,” an activity allowing viewers to browse any website and watch Crash destroy the site piece?by?piece with each click of the mouse, simply by adding a bookmark to their browser toolbar. Beginning Monday, September 24, “Wyatt’s Room Remodel” activity debuts at DisneyXD.com/Crash in which players can help Wyatt and Crash redecorate Wyatt’s room. Launching on Monday, October 8 is a new virtual-reality arcade game, “Bro-tastic Games,” where players can choose to compete as Wyatt or Crash for the high score in a series of wacky “bro-based” mini?games, including “Epic Destruction,” “Tackle Crush,” “Fairy Castle FAIL,” “10-Doll Bowling” and “R/C Copter Flying.”

‘Frankenweenie’ Exhibition Passholder Preview Experiences Available at Disneyland Resort

The Disneyland Resort has announced that it will be offering a special preview opportunity for Annual Passholders to view the ‘Art of Frankenweenie‘ traveling exhibit on the evening of September 13, before it becomes accessible to regular park guests.

Passholders have the choice of packages, either a simple viewing experience or a complete dining package with both experiences taking place after park closing.

The preview-only experience is free and requires registration which will open on September 5. While registrants can register up to three additional guests, all must be annual passholders to attend the event which will run from 8 pm to 12 am. When registering, passholders can choose from available slotted times (in 20 minute increments) to visit the exhibition in the animation courtyard in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure and will be able to visit select attractions that will remain open until 12 am. Space to the event is limited.

The dining package is available for $290 (tax inclusive) per person and runs from 7 pm through 12 am with the a champagne reception taking place in the exhibition area at 7 pm. At 8 pm, a multi-course dinner with wine pairings will be served in front of the Tower of Terror. In addition, valet parking at the Disney Grand Californian is also included with this package as well as a surprise ‘special experience’ from 11:30 pm until 1:30 am. Tickets for the event can be purchased by September 9 over the phone by calling (714) 781-PASS (7277) or in person at any Disneyland Resort ticket booth, while space is available. As with the free event, attendees will also have the opportunity to visit select attractions through 12 am.

In addition to the attractions, attendees can also visit the Muppet*Vision 3D theater for an 8 minute sneak peek of the film in 4D as well as have access to special Frankenweenie-themed merchandise before it goes on sale to the public.

‘Wipeout’ Renewed for Sixth Season; Jill Wagner to Return

“Wipeout,” ABC’s popular reality series, has been picked up for a sixth season. The next installment of the hit game show will include its 100th episode milestone, set to air in 2012-13. Twenty-four adventurous players of all shapes and sizes will compete in the world’s largest extreme obstacle course designed to showcase the best body flips, biggest splashes and amazing wipeouts that the entire family can enjoy. Next season will also bring back Jill Wagner as co-host. “Wipeout” recently won the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in the Favorite Reality Show category. The series will be hosted by John Anderson (ESPN’s “SportsCenter”), John Henson (E! Entertainment’s “Talk Soup”) and co-hosted by Jill Wagner (MTV’s “Teen Wolf”).

“I’m thrilled that we will hit a major milestone in our sixth season, our 100th episode. We’ll be celebrating all season long with brand new over-the-top courses and the return of Jill Wagner to the ‘Wipeout’ family,” said Matt Kunitz, creator and executive producer.

Upon its return, viewers can expect all1new courses, with bigger and better obstacles than ever before. The ever popular Big Balls will be back, and the challenging Qualifier will include many twists and surprises for contestants vying to earn a spot in the completely redesigned Wipeout Zones, as players try their best to bring home the $50,000 grand prize.

ABC’s “Wipeout” emerged as the 2011-12 season’s No. 1 show overall for Family Co-Viewing on the major networks (Adults 18-49 watching with Teens and Kids).

“Wipeout” executive producers are Matt Kunitz (“101 Ways to Leave a Game Show,” “Fear Factor”) and Scott Larsen. Kevin Wehrenberg, Trice Barto and J. Rupert Thompson are co-executive producers. The series is produced by Endemol USA. David Goldberg is the chairman of Endemol North America.
