Beginning July 5, Radio Disney will debut a new daily serial titled My Dream which will premiere each weekday on the radio network at 9:25 am ET and repeat four times a day as well as being available online at Disney.com along with a video component.
The 90-second segment radio drama stars actress and singer Daphne Blunt (Young and the Restless) as Kayla, a 13 year old trying to make it in the music business while dealing with the routine stresses of her normal daily life.

New Clip from ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice:’ The Dragon Ring is the Thing
Walt Disney Studios has just released this short clip from the beginning of its upcoming release The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel.
In the clip, young Dave Stutler has stumbled into the mysterious Arcana Cabana shop in downtown Manhattan where he runs into its proprietor, Balthazar Blake, for the first time. Knowing this was no accident, Balthazar introduces Dave to Merlin’s dragon ring and sets the wheels of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice’s destiny in motion.
Minnie Mouse Becomes First Celebrity for Forever 21’s Twist Collection
Disney Consumer Products and Forever 21 announce their collaboration on a new fashion line of apparel and accessories for young fashionable women called “Minnie Muse” exclusively for Forever 21 Twist. The new collection is inspired by modernized sketches of the style icon, Minnie Mouse, and will be available at Forever 21 stores nationwide and online at Forever21.com starting November 2010— just in time for the Holidays. The line will also include stationery and gift items.
ABC Family Orders Additional Episodes of ‘Pretty Little Liars’
ABC Family has ordered 12 additional episodes of the network’s hit one-hour series, “Pretty Little Liars,” announced Kate Juergens, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development. The order will bring the show’s first season to a total of 22 episodes.
“‘Pretty Little Liars’ is a break-out hit for the network,” said Juergens. “We’re thrilled that our Millennial viewers have responded so strongly to the show. It’s a perfect fit with the network’s strong slate of original scripted dramas, including ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’ and ‘Make It or Break It.’”
Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund Announces 2010 Grant Recipients
Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund has announced the 2010 recipients of nearly $1.5 million in grants to protect vulnerable wildlife and ecosystems around the world. The funding enables nonprofit organizations to provide support for more than 45 species across the globe–from protecting the critically endangered Sumatran rhino in Indonesia, to tracking northern jaguars in the foothills of Mexico, to studying the threats of the endangered green sea turtle.
New Featurette on ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ Focuses on Stunts
Walt Disney Studios has just released this new featurette for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice titled ‘Stunts.’
The featurette also manages to give us our first good look at the high-speed car chase through the streets of Manhattan which made national headlines when it was plagued with accidents (both directly and indirectly) during the time of the shoots.
Stitch Kingdom was also on hand to watch some of the filming of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice which involved some of the magic appearing throughout the car chase scenes. You can check that report out here (minor plot spoilers).
Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain Becomes Second Attraction to Offer PhotoPass
In addition to Test Track at Epcot, the Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain is now offering new and unique options for Disney’s PhotoPass.
Beginning today, Space Mountain is offering a new range of PhotoPass options for the onride photo taken during the ride. The three available options are:
- Purchase the photo as a print. A variety of print sizes and packages are available. These prints will be made directly by the systems inside the Space Mountain Merchandise Shop.
- Purchase the photo as a digital download from the DisneyPhotoPass.com website
