Runaway Brain Mickey — you either love’m or hate’m. But even if you’re a crazed Mickey lover, you can’t be insane about the price the PVC figures generally go for. Now here’s your chance to not only get your hands on a 2″ Kubrick-ized version of him, but you’ll get Julius as well (obviously not to scale) for an amazing price of $17.99.
Small, but mighty, the newly launched site can be found at DisneylandDreamHome.com and takes you on a mini-tour of the exhibit located at Disneyland’s Innoventions in Tomorrowland.
The site takes you on a virtual tour through the home’s kitchen, family room and dining room and shows off the technology of the exhibit’s sponsors, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Taylor Morrison.
Hosted by Imagineer Diego Parras, the documentary uses historical and rare film footage to show the story of the transformation of swampland in central Florida to the most visited theme park in the world today through the stories and direct recollections of respected Imagineers such as Tom Fitzgerald, Tony Baxter, Kathy Rogers, Eric Jacobson, Kevin Rafferty and — of course — Marty Sklar, the only individual to open all 11 Disney parks.
Vanessa Williams will now be performing on just the weekend of December 12 – 13. Abigail Breslin will be taking on the 14th in addition to her original schedule through the 17th.
Initially set to air on December 1, ABC has decided to push back the debut of its first holiday special from Walt Disney Animation Studios to December 8 at 8:30 PM ET (not Central as others have been reporting) because of a televised press conference by President Obama. Although the press conference is scheduled to run from 8:00 pm – 8:30 pm and would apparently not overlap with Prep & Landing‘s airing at 8:30, ABC has decided to move it anyway.
The back-to-back season premiere of Scrubs is expected to air at 9PM ET as scheduled.
It appears that the oft-well-kept secret of who will be performing for the taped annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade has been released and the news isn’t good for fans of the Jonas Brothers who were the frontrunners in the rumor mill.
Even the Disneyland portion, which tapes first (and already has, earlier this month), seemed to be a big surprise as reporters scrambled to try to get a hint as to who might show.
As of December 11, the character meal at Paradise Pier Hotel’s PCH Grill will be transforming from Lilo & Stitch Aloha Breakfast to Surf’s Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends. The buffet menu will include flatbreads from a wood burning oven & signature chilaquiles with shredded beef, salsa verde & queso fresco.
From the upcoming holiday special, “Disney Prep & Landing,” the ABC Music Lounge will exclusively debut the song “Jingle Jang and Jive” by composer Michael Giacchino (“Lost”). The song will be available for free download in the ABC Music Lounge at www.abcmusiclounge.com starting Monday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m. PT, until Friday, December 11 at midnight, ET/9:00 p.m., PT.
“Disney Prep & Landing” is ABC’s first television special produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, and will air TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8 (8:30-9:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.
From now until December 13, Walt Disney Studios is offering an exclusive engagement of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog in both New York City and Los Angeles. Purchasing a ticket not only entitles the ticket bearer the opportunity to experience Disney’s return to the animated musical, but guests are also invited to the Ultimate Disney Experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with all nine Disney Princesses as well as engage in several other activities in celebration for the new film.
In New York City, the Ultimate Disney Experience has taken up residence in the Roseland Ballroom, a massive event space that one is typically more likely to find a music concert in rather than a full family experience. But taken up residence, Disney has. From the moment you step into the building, let alone approach it, you are immersed in floor-to-ceiling scenery and props, bringing the New Orleans from the film to life.
“Dreams Come True: A Celebration of Disney Animation” is a look back at 75 years of Disney magic on the silver screen and a look ahead to the all-new animated adventure comedy, “The Princess and the Frog.” Host Vanessa Williams is joined by some of the brightest stars of television, movies, music and sports, who share their favorite memories of Disney animation, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.
This one-hour special explores the key ingredients of these treasured Disney films – the captivating characters, breathtaking artistry and unforgettable music – as well as the power they have to inspire and influence real-life dreams.
