In addition to our update on LMA earlier today, we have received notice of additional closures taking place in the near future at Walt Disney World.

The Golf Courses will each experience multiple closures throughout the next couple of months. Please see the full refurb list here for details.

In addition, the Aruba pool at Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed from November 9 – 20.

Authorized Ticket Broker ‘Ticket Mania’ Not Responsible for Credit Theft

Earlier today, WFTV, Channel 9 in Orlando,  reported on a raid against an Orange County business under the moniker of Ticket Mania who allegedly operated a front to collect credit card information and, in turn, used that information to purchase and re-sell Orlando area theme park tickets illegally online.

Regretfully for many, WFTV apparently left out several key facts reported by others that resulted in a misrepresentation of the situation and can have serious reprecussions for a company that has provided outstanding service by many reports for many years.

JetBlue Offers Unlimited Travel From September 8 – October 8 for $599

I was under much debate as to whether to even make a story of this since it has little to do with The Walt Disney Company, but considering JetBlue services MCO (Walt Disney World), LGB (Disneyland Resort) and SFO (Walt Disney Family Museum) and this has to be an unprecedented offer, it does make some sense to share the news if you haven’t heard already.

Universal Studios Orlando Announces Details for 2009 ‘Rock the Universe’ Event

Orlando, Fla. – Universal Studios Florida will become Orlando’s hottest spot for Christian rock and entertainment as Rock the Universe 2009 takes center stage on September 11 and 12.  Tickets are on sale now for guests to experience an action-packed weekend of fun and fellowship – complete with live performances by 14 mega-talented artists, testimonies by celebrity guest speakers and thrilling rides and attractions.  Plus, for the first time, guests who purchase the “Rock Your Weekend” ticket can experience more music than ever before with access to bonus Sunday concerts.

New Vacation Package Offers Fall Savings at Disneyland Resort, With ‘Halloween Time’ Entertainment

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 12  — Value-minded vacationers have plenty to celebrate this fall with a special travel offer: savings of $400* at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California.

From Aug. 12 through Dec. 19, 2009, guests will save $400 when they book a 4-Day/4-Night Disneyland Resort vacation package, featuring Disneyland Resort hotel accommodations – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier – and park hopper tickets. Each package includes four-day park hopper tickets and many extras, such as one Magic Morning admission per person. WDSHE Commits to Offering Blu-ray/DVD Combo Packs Through 2010

BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 12  — In a time when price, quality and value are top of mind with consumers, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment (WDSHE) today announces the extension of it’s Blu-ray Combo Pack initiatives worldwide, providing extended utility of DVD and exceptional quality of a Blu-ray Disc in a single value-pack. The Combo Packs will now be available across all Disney-branded Blu-ray titles releasing through December of 2010.

In a recent online survey* of US home entertainment consumers conducted by WDSHE and an independent market research company, Lieberman Research Worldwide showed that the value of the Combo Pack is undeniable for consumers.
