Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando rocks out for a cure this fall, when the worldwide ‘PINKTOBER’ campaign is celebrated at Velvet Sessions, the hotel’s monthly rock ‘n’ roll cocktail party and lobby concert.  The Bangles, one of the most popular all-female bands in American history, will perform in the lobby on Thursday, September 24 to kick off the month-long initiative that raises awareness and money for breast cancer research.

“This event brings together great music for a great cause and now more than ever, people are looking for ways they can help make a difference,” says Hard Rock Hotel General Manager Carlton Hudson.  “We will even light the hotel’s guitar fountain and the front drive in pink on the night of the Bangles event, as a visual reminder of Hard Rock’s commitment to love all and serve all in the fight against breast cancer.”

The Bangles will perform top hits “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Manic Monday,” “Hazy Shade of Winter,” “Eternal Flame” and more.  The Velvet Sessions event is only the beginning.  From late September through October, select rooms at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando will be outfitted with pink sheets, pink pillow cases and pink duvet covers.  Each night the room is rented during the campaign, the hotel will donate 25% of room revenues to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

New Tequila Bar at Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion Scheduled to Open Late August

La Cava del Tequila, will become the newest addition at Mexico Pavilion on August 28, 2009. Through the décor, art work, original artifacts and products served it will celebrate the heritage and tradition of Tequila making in Mexico.

Guests visiting La Cava del Tequila will have the opportunity to enjoy over 70 types of authentic tequila from several major brands, ranging from the simplest to the rarest of them all, aged to perfection and made from the finest distilled spirits from the Agave Plant.  A Tequila Ambassador will be on-hand to educate Guests on the history of Tequila making and its rich Mexican heritage.

‘Imagination Movers” Warehouse Mouse to Star in Short-Form Series on Disney Channel

Disney Channel will premiere a new short-form series, “Where is Warehouse Mouse?,” starring the popular puppet character from the hit Playhouse Disney series “Imagination Movers.” Four episodes debut MONDAY, AUGUST 24 (8:25–10:00 a.m., ET/PT). The series spotlights Warehouse Mouse as he tries his hand at creative problem solving like his mentors, the Imagination Movers.

“Where is Warehouse Mouse?” follows Warehouse Mouse as he goes through his daily routine in and around his lair, located in the Imagination Movers’ Idea Warehouse. Each episode finds Warehouse Mouse with a problem that requires a creative solution. Some of his adventures include trying to peel a banana, get an empty can into a large recycling bin and tackle a cuckoo clock that is keeping him awake. After a series of misfires, he manages to solve the problem and enjoy the fruits of his success.

New Screenshot from Disney Interactive’s Alice in Wonderland Shows a Sad Hatter

A screenshot from Disney Interactive's Alice in Wonderland‘It’s his party and he’ll cry if he wants to’ appears to be the theme of this amazing screenshot Disney sent us from the upcoming Alice in Wonderland game for the Nintendo Wii, DS and PC.  Based on what we know of the game already, it appears Alice (the player) and the White Rabbit are approaching a distraught Mad Hatter as he struggles to entertain the only guest at his tea party — himself. I can’t help but notice (and love) how the Hatter’s more traditional lengthy table has been replaced by several smaller tables strung together on top of the one-lush landscape, now completely eroded under the reign of the Red Queen.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has set a date for the release of the highly anticipated Monsters, Inc. on Blu-ray. Initially expected to be released back in May alongside A Bug’s Life, the new street date is November 10. With an MSRP of $39.99, the 2 disc set also includes the film on DVD as well as a Disneyfile digital copy.

As you might imagine, the Blu-ray edition is feature-packed and includes such features as:
