In honor of its re-opening at Disneyland on October 2, the Disney Gallery has announced two events in October to introduce new releases as well as artist signings.
Along with the new ‘Give a Day, Get a Day’ program announced earlier today by Disney Parks, there will also be a national tour launched to promote the program and volunteerism.
Beginning September 29, visitors to the official website can learn more about the campaign as well as enter to win a vacation package to either the Walt Disney World or Disneyland resorts.
Five winners will be selected at random on or about April 2, 2010 and will each receive a 5 day/4 night vacation package for four to either the Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort which includes round-trip air fare, hotel accommodations, park tickets and a Disney Gift Card.

Disney hopes to inspire families to volunteer in their communities during 2010 through this first-of-its-kind program. One million people who perform volunteer service for a participating organization will receive a free one-day admission ticket to a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort theme park.

In the past year, guests have been celebrating all sorts of special moments in their lives at Disney parks – from birthdays and anniversaries to reunions and graduations – as part of the “What Will You Celebrate?” campaign.

Disneyland has just released this video of the grand opening of the Disney Vacation Club’s first west coast entry, the Villas at the Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort. Also featured are several cast members talking about the new addition to the DVC family as well as a tour of the rooms and facilities.
As part of the announced expansion for Castaway Cay in anticipation of the larger Disney Cruise Line ships bringing more guests each day to Disney’s private little getaway, we are pleased to bring you your first look at Pelican Plunge. At 2,400-square-feet in area, this floating platform boasts two water slides – an enclosed corkscrew slide and a 140-foot-long open slide – that take guests on a twisting ride, ending with a splash into the lagoon. A giant “bucket dump” will soak guests on the platform.
