LOS ANGELES — Disney Interactive Studios today announced The Princess and the Frog video game, a new game title inspired by the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated comedy adventure film, “The Princess and the Frog.” Scheduled for release this fall exclusively for Wii™ and Nintendo DS™, The Princess and the Frog video game features favorite moments from the film and new challenges for Tiana, the story’s main character.

Unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, The Princess and the Frog video game takes players on an exciting journey through New Orleans with characters from the film, including Tiana, Prince Naveen, Dr. Facilier, Ray, Mama Odie, and many others. Reminiscent of classics like “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King” and “Aladdin,” the feature film marks the return to the magic of the Disney musical. The video game brings the magic to life on Wii™ and DS™.

Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain Queue May Get a Touch of Soarin’

Earlier today, Orlando Sentinel reporter Jason Garcia noted on his twitter that Disney has filed for a new construction permit for an “interactive queue A/V package,” presumably for Space Mountain.

A source not directly connected to the project has confirmed to us that indeed, the same team that introduced the interactive game in the standby queue of Epcot’s Soarin’ is tackling this new project. Details have not been made available, so it could very well end up being nothing like Soarin’s time-killer, but just some dehydrated food for thought.

Walt Disney World Park Hours for September 2009 Available Exclusively at.. the Disney Travel Agent site?

It’s making the rounds now as some have noticed that the Disney Travel Agent website, which regularly makes park hours available separately on its site, has posted hours for September 2009 ahead of the official resort web site.

Although the site requires an account (and IATA number) to access the site, evidently the PDF featuring the hours can be accessed by anyone. At least for now.

So for the moment, interested parties can find those posted hours here.

D23 Expo Details Revealed, Tickets to Go On Sale June 3

D23 ExpoANAHEIM and BURBANK, Calif., June 3  — Disney fans will be given unprecedented access to never-before-seen movies, TV shows, park experiences, collectibles and more from Sept. 10 to Sept. 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center when Disney and D23: The Official Community for Disney Fans present the first-ever D23 EXPO.

Tickets to the D23 EXPO are available beginning today at http://www.d23expo.com/. Admission includes access to all experiences and entertainment at the D23 EXPO and can be purchased for single days or for the full four days of festivities. Admission is discounted for members of D23.
