Here’s my dose of Saturday Synergy. I’m playing catch-up on this past week’s television and finally muddling through the soon-to-be-over Life on Mars. In this episode, All the Young Dudes, Sam makes a promise to ‘make it up’ to Annie when he gets back to 2008 (or 2009) from 1973. He’s got a laundry list of hip and current buzz-word laden things to do for her: take her to Nobu for sushi; fill up her ipod with the Justin Timberlake library; and even take her to EPCOT Center to ride Spaceship Earth. Certified Assets Management, one of the nations leading rare coin and bullion dealers announced today that “Celebration Mickey” is going on tour and will debut at the Baltimore Coin & Currency Convention on March 26th – 28th 2009. being held at the Baltimore Convention Center.
“Celebration Mickey” is the largest solid gold sculpture ever created in the United States, and the most valuable “Disney” collectible in the world!
Made from 24-karat gold, this one-of-a-kind Mickey Mouse sculpture was created to observe Walt Disney’s 100th birthday in 2001. Designed by Disney artist Marc Delle, “Celebration Mickey” classically depicts Disney’s hallmark character dressed in his traditional button shorts, gloves, shirt, and shoes.
The refurbishment has been extended through March 25. Re-opening date is March 26.

According to G4, Disney, whose video game producing units have recently succumbed to a taxing economy, has opted to not renew its licensing agreement with THQ who has been producing games based on the Disney/Pixar properties through UP. THQ has most recently come into the spotlight with its share of hardship and will no doubt feel the blow from this latest move.
