REPORT: ‘Toy Story’ Trilogy Twentieth Anniversary Blu-ray in November

'Toy Story' 20th AnniversaryTo date, not much has been mentioned so far regarding the 20th anniversary Pixar’s Toy Story (1995), the first full-length computer generated film, though there has been no shortage of expectations for it. So far we’ve been aware of re-issues of merchandise from licensees such as Mattel and Thinkway Toys, but clearly there must be more in store. Surely next week’s D23 Expo should reveal more plans along with the reminiscent panel on Saturday, already announced.

REPORT: Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ on Blu-ray on November 3

Pixar Inside Out Theatrical PosterAhead of any official announcement, Amazon has listed the DVD version of Pixar Animation Studios’ Inside Out with a release date of November 3, 2015. There is, of course, a Blu-ray version listed along with an anticipated 3D Blu-ray, but the latter two do not have any release dates associated with them as of yet.

In addition, no news has been released in regards to bonus features, although we do anticipate the inclusion of the first short to take place inside the Inside Out universe, ‘Riley’s First Date.’ It’s also potentially likely that given that The Good Dinosaur is slated for release a few weeks later, on November 25, there may be a sneak peek for it as well. As usual, we will provide more information as it becomes available to us.

Toys ‘R’ Us Times Square Plans Awaken for Star Wars Episode VII Product Release on September 4

In preparation for the world-wide roll-out of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens products at midnight on September 4, 2015, Toys ‘R’ Us has announced its plans to commemorate the event including an entire day of Star Wars related events the day before at its global flagship store in Times Square.

D23 EXPO: UNIQLO to Debut ‘Magic for All’ Collection with Limited Edition Items; Disney Springs in 2016

UNIQLO today announced its ‘Magic for All’ global collaboration with Disney Consumer Products. The unique initiative will add a touch of Disney enchantment, Marvel action, Star Wars adventure and Pixar creativity to everyday UNIQLO LifeWear fashions as well as introducing innovative new products, pop-up displays, and in-store and online customer experiences.

Through ‘Magic for All,’ UNIQLO will extend its existing collaboration beyond the UNIQLO T-shirts (UT) and sweat parka lines and introduce new LifeWear items beginning in fall 2015. Products will range from Ultra Light Down, Fleece, and flannel shirts to umbrellas, plush toys, and other offerings featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and then expand to include popular characters from Star Wars, Pixar Animation Studios’ Toy Story, Marvel’s Avengers and Disney’s Frozen.

During a post-Christmas play date, the gang find themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. It’s all up to Trixie, the triceratops, if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room in this ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot.’

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ on 3D Blu-ray in October with Gag Reel, Deleted Scenes and More; Digital in September

‘Pickle and Peanut’ to Premiere on Disney XD September 7

‘Pickle and Peanut,’ an animated buddy-comedy series that follows the offbeat teenage adventures of best friends Pickle and Peanut, will premiere on Monday, September 7 at 9:00 pm ET/PT on Disney XD, with new episodes airing Mondays through October 5. Jon Heder stars as the emotional Pickle and Johnny Pemberton as the freewheeling Peanut. The premiere episode will be available on WATCH Disney XD, Disney XD on Demand and beginning Tuesday, September 1.

Silly Symphony Collection Cover ArtLess than a year after Mickey Mouse’s debut in Steamboat Willie, the Walt Disney Studio embarked on a decade-long series of music-driven shorts whose breakthroughs would forever change the direction of animation and would have a massive impact on popular culture. The 75 cartoons – called Silly Symphonies – pioneered “three-strip” Technicolor, introduced Donald Duck, and created a pop music phenomenon with “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?” They won seven Academy Awards® for Best Short Subject (Cartoon) between 1932 and 1939.
