Better late than never, eh? This weekend’s guests include Peter Mayhew and Matthew Wood in addition to hosts Jay Laga’aia and Ashley Eckstein.
In addition, StarWars.com has prepared a video blog highlighting the events of the first weekend. Good introduction to SWW in general.
On May 29, 2009, the folks at Pixar had the distinct honor and pleasure of ringing the closing bell on the New York Stock Exchange in honor of the opening day of UP live from their campus in Emeryville, CA. Enjoy.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., May 29 — Dreams keep coming true for new “American Idol” Kris Allen.
Last week, the 23-year-old singer from Conway, Ark., became the newest “American Idol” by garnering the most fan votes in the television series’ thrilling Season Eight finale. Moments after his victory, Allen did what dozens of sports celebrities and heroes have done for more than two decades: He looked into a television camera and shouted, “I’m going to Disney World!”
This week, America’s newest star lived out his post-finale show pronouncement when he basked in the glow of a victory parade and gala celebration at “The American Idol Experience,” the new Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park attraction based on the “American Idol” television show.
Celebrating with Allen Friday at Walt Disney World was his new bride, Katy. The longtime sweethearts were married eight months ago.
Attached to UP, the teaser trailer to Toy Story 3 has been released. Unfortunately, this version is in 2D. Enjoy.
1) The attraction features 10 aquariums, totalling nearly 250,000 gallons of water. Special features include a pop-up aquarium where smaller guests can ‘pop up’ in the middle and surround themselves with the tank’s inhabitants and a 220 square foot overhead viewing panel. That panel alone weighs almost 16,000 pounds (8 tons) and is the largest of its kind ever produced by the manufacturer, Nippura. The salt-water habitats at the attraction consist of 71,000 pounds of salt.
