Production has begun in Studio City, California on “Romantically Challenged,” an ensemble comedy about four friends trying to find love and happiness, coming to ABC this season.
Commemorating ten years of Samantha Brown on the network, the Travel Channel will air four special episodes beginning February 8 which includes the Samantha Brown Fan-a-thon on February 10 at 8 PM ET/PT. In the episode, Samantha celebrates ten years of travel at the Walt Disney World resort with some of her fans who help to reminisce about some of their favorite Walt Disney World show moments.
Originally slated to be released on April 2, the release date for Touchstone Pictures’ The Last Song has been moved to March 31, 2010.

The restaurant will feature Pollo Campero’s signature Latin chicken, as well as a new restaurant concept featuring fresh, healthy food.

Disney registered several domain names yesterday which indicate that a speculated and apparently not widely spread rumor may be true: Rapunzel will either be subtitled or simply renamed to something else. A quick google search for The Thief and the Tower turned up but one result from comments on a blog post on a professional animators’ site from early January and the ‘speculation’ was just that. The consensus from those who appeared to have some inside information on the name change is that Disney is looking for a way to make the film appear less princess-y.
Disney XD will premiere a second season of the live-action adventure series “Aaron Stone” with two back-to-back episodes on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). The stories find champion video gamer Charlie Landers and his legendary crime-fighting avatar, Aaron Stone, taking their game to a whole new level when a group of new villains escape and threaten world domination.
Intriguing new characters are introduced this season, including Damaged, the son of Helix, who has telekinetic powers; Mr. Galapagos, a control freak with electro-kinetic powers; Steeltrap, who possesses an internal plasma energy source; Shackles, a super strength mutant; Silver, a super thin mutant who can squeeze through anything; and U, a faceless shape-shifter.
Playmates Toys is voluntarily recalling approximately 252,000 units of Tinky Tink & Friends Toy Jewelry, sold nationwide between November 2008 and November 2009 due to potential unlawful amounts of lead content.

The nominations for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards have been announced this morning and, once again, it’s up to the Disney/Pixar champion UP to bring home the gold (statuettes) for The Walt Disney Company.
For top prizes, UP is competing for both Best Animated Film as well as Best Motion Picture of the Year, in the newly expanded category. Other nominated categories include: Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score) for which Michael Giacchino has already received numerous awards and accolades for; Achievement in Sound Editing; and another top category for Original Screenplay.
