In anticipation of the return engagement of Captain EO to the Disneyland Resort, ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Audience’ in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland closes today and, according to an official refurbishment schedule, is expected to re-open on January 29, presumably as Captain EO, starring Michael Jackson.

Announced today, 21 new panelists from the United States and Canada, hailing from different backgrounds, are named official members of the 2010 Walt Disney World® Moms Panel, www.disneyworldmoms.com. Additionally, due to the popularity of the site and an ever-growing number of questions, Disney welcomes back 22 panelists from 2008 and 2009 – totaling 43 members for 2010 to serve as online Disney-savvy vacation gurus, providing helpful tips to guests planning a Walt Disney World vacation.
The Walt Disney World® Moms Panel is an online question-and-answer venue that serves as a free resource for families looking for a touch of pixie dust to add to their Disney vacation. The Panel is led by everyday parents who have mastered the art of planning a vacation for their own families and are excited to share their pearls of wisdom with others. Through a comprehensive application process, the new panelists proved that they have the knowledge and desire to answer any and all questions that come their way.

Without any kind of formal announcement or confirmation, it appears as through the Walt Disney World official site may have announced the dates for the 2010 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival as October 1 through November 14, 2010.
Even before the show set sail back in November, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee was causing waves of excitement at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. With the show advertised to end on January 3, many were disappointed but then turned optimistic when the official site began listing the show as continuing beyond the expected final date.
While we are sad to report that the show is in fact ending today (and is explicitly listed as being performed only today on the Magic Kingdom’s Times Guide for this week), we thought we’d offer some hope of our own for those who missed the opportunity to see the moving spectacle.

Although it’s been this humble person’s opinion that a D23 Membership was worth it for the full-color, all-access, oversized, quarterly magazine subscription alone (at a mere $11 over the cover price for the rest), many have balked at the $74.99 per year price tag. Enough so, perhaps, to convince the D23 brass that the bottom line was being affected by a subscriber base not living up to its potential.

LIVE! with Regis and Kelly has announced its annual Beautiful Baby Search contest. Teaming up with Gerber, ten semi-finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges to appear on the show on or about the week of March 1, 2010. From there, one grand prize winner will receive $125,000 to be applied towards a college education and the cover of a future Parenting magazine issue. Four runners up will each receive $25,000 to be applied towards college and all ten semi-finalists will each recieve a year’s worth of Gerber’s Start Healthy, Stay Healthy food vouchers including a personalized nutrition plan.
Through a partnership with the Nature Conservancy, Disney will donate $.20 for each ticket sold during the first week of the theatrical release of Disneynature’s OCEANS (with a minimum donation of $100,000).
The donation will go towards a new Adopt-a-Coral-Reef program focusing on The Bahamas which aims to save 500,000 acres of threatened coral reef, accounting for 30% of the reef in the Atlantic Ocean.
As a result of attendance during the first week of Disneynature’s first US film, EARTH, Disney helped plant 2.7 million trees in the rainforests of Brazil.

D23 members now have the ability to purchase a limited edition giclee from The Princess and the Frog from DisneyStore.com for $164.95. Printed on elegant velvet fine art paper, the 11″ x 17″ print is limited to an edition of 200 but only the first 100 sold will be signed by film directors John Musker and Ron Clements.
Also now available to D23 members is a giclee of pre-production art from TRON Legacy titled ‘Attack on the MCP.’ The 13″ x 19″ print on watercolor paper, which has a limited edition of 82, was a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.
