‘Resurrection: The Complete First Season’ on DVD in June

ABC Studios and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment have announced that the first season of its new critically-acclaimed series ‘Resurrection’ will be arriving on DVD on June 10, 2014 (now available for pre-order).

What happens when someone who you’ve mourned and buried mysteriously appears at your doorstep, as if not a single day has gone by? The lives of the people of Arcadia, Missouri are forever changed when their deceased loved ones miraculously return, causing them to confront the emotional depth of their relationship and what it means to be given a second chance.

‘Spike Lee Joint’ Collection on Blu-ray with All New Commentary

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that it will be bringing the ‘Spike Lee Joint’ collection of films to Blu-ray for the first time on June 10, 2014. As an added literal bonus, the films will feature all new audio commentary by Lee as well as talent from the respective films along with classic bonus content. Details are as follows:

VOLUME ONE:

25th Hour
In 24 short hours, former king of Manhattan Monty Brogan (Ed Norton) will go to prison for seven long years. In his last day on the outside, Monty tires to reconnect with his father, reunite with two old friends and figure out if his girlfriend was the one who tipped off the cops.

WATCH: ‘I’ll Get You What You Want’ Video with Bret McKenzie from ‘Muppets Most Wanted’

Walt Disney Records and Vevo today debuted the music video for ‘I’ll Get You What You Want (Cockatoo in Malibu)’ performed by songwriter and Oscar winner Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords, from the original motion picture soundtrack now available from Amazon and iTunes. In addition, the track is also being made available as a free bonus download when you purchase a ticket in advance for the film from Fandango.

In the film (and on the soundtrack), the song is performed by Constantine in an attempt to win over Miss Piggy by promising her virtually anything she dreams of.

Disney’s ‘Bears’ Eleven New Hi-Res Stills

Walt Disney Studios and Disneynature have provided us with nearly a dozen new hi-res stills from their upcoming film, Bears, which focuses on Sky and her cubs, Scout and Amber. The new stills also introduce us to Chinook and Magnus as well as a wolf who goes by the name of Tikaani.

‘it’s a small world’ 50th Anniversary ‘Global Sing-Along’ to Be Announced

Later today on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America,’ plans are expected to be announced on how Disney Parks and Resorts plans on celebrating the 50th anniversary of ‘the happiest cruise that ever sailed,’ ‘it’s a small world.’ The attraction made its public debut at the New York World’s Fair in April 1964, alongside other Disney-created attractions such as Progressland /aka/ Carousel of Progress.

The attraction is arguably most famous for its anthem, written by the Sherman Brothers. Originally the attraction was intended to have children from each of its respective countries perform their respective national anthems in their native tongues, but it resulted in what Richard Sherman would describe as a ‘cacophony,’ resulting in Walt Disney’s request the brothers compose a common theme song to unite the attraction.

‘Maleficent’ ‘Evil is Complicated’ Promo Shows Maleficent at Most Vulnerable

She had wings once, she explained to Aurora in the newest trailer for Maleficent — they were taken from her. And now a new promo for the film (May 30, 2014), titled ‘Evil is Complicated’ features a small amount of new footage including this scene in which Maleficent is forced to come to terms with having her wings removed — presumably by force. WATCH: ‘The Pirate Fairy’ ‘Legacy of Never Land’ Bonus Clip Plus Interactive Infographic

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has just shared a portion of one of the bonus features that will appear on The Pirate Fairy (April 1, 2014, pre-order). The bonus feature, which totals almost 4 1/2 minutes in length, is titled ‘Second Star to the Right: The Legacy of Never Land’ and explores the influence of Never Land from Peter Pan through the new film.

In addition, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has also launched DisneysPirateFairyInfograph.com, an interactive website that chronicles Never Land’s contribution to Disney over the past several decades through the use of images and video.
