ABC.com will be offering two free downloads, exclusively, from their Music Lounge website this week. The single “Hold On” by Alabama Shakes will be featured on “Revenge” tonight, Wednesday, November 23 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. “Hold On” will be available to download online for free beginning tonight at 10:00 pm ET through tomorrow, November 24 at 10:00 pm ET.

“Once Upon a Time” composer Mark Isham’s episodic score will be featured on “Once Upon a Time” on Sunday, November 27 at 8:00 pm ET/PT. A free download of the score will be available beginning tonight, November 23 at 10:00 pm ET through November 28 at 10:00 pm ET.

In addition to the free download, ABC’s Music Lounge Composer Spotlight showcases an exclusive video interview with Mark Isham discussing the episodic score and the music inspiration for “Once Upon a Time.” The video will be available beginning November 23 at 10:00 p.m., ET through December 21 at 10:00 p.m., ET. ABC’s Music Lounge, which launched in May 2009 on ABC.com, provides users with an interactive online music experience that is uniquely ABC. Reflective of the network’s commitment to using digital platforms to deepen its relationship with viewers, the ABC Music Lounge showcases everything about the music and artists featured on ABC’s popular primetime schedule, offering a deep catalog of music-related content. The site features a 24-hour streaming radio station programmed with music featured on such ABC series as “Body of Proof,” “Castle,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Private Practice,” “Revenge” and “Once Upon a Time,” among others. Visitors to the site can get access to exclusive weekly free downloads and get a glimpse of ABC’s music future, as the radio station also showcases new music picked by series producers, music supervisors and others involved in the music selection process for shows that have previously seen great success.

ABC’s Music Lounge to Offer Free Download of ‘Change’ by Tu Phace from ‘My Generation’

Beginning at 12:01 a.m., ET on Thursday, September 16, ABC’s Music Lounge will launch the free download of the new single from Philadelphia-based Epic Records recording artist Tu Phace entitled “Change.” It will be available free for an exclusive window of 48 hours. This will the first glimpse of music that will both be inspired by and featured in the new fall drama series, “My Generation.” New songs and artists will be spotlighted on ABC Music Lounge throughout the season, culminating to the release of an original soundtrack for “My Generation” in December 2010.

“We are thrilled to have a show that not only features great new artists, but also give us an opportunity to showcase new music inspired by the show and its characters,” says Peter DiCecco, senior vice president of Business and Legal Affairs, Music, Disney/ABC Television Group and Dawn Soler, vice president of TV Music, Disney/ABC Television Group.

The music of “My Generation” will be reflective of the coming-of-age stories of its nine main characters. The featured songs for download and upcoming soundtrack will allow viewers to share in their journeys and have a more interactive experience.

Premiering Thursday, September 23 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), “My Generation” follows the lives of nine friends and the promises of what their futures could bring, how far they’ve come and how they got there, as told through the camera of a documentary film crew. “My Generation” stars Michael Stahl David as Steven, Jaime King as Jacqueline, Kelli Garner as Dawn, Keir O’Donnell as Kenneth, Mehcad Brooks as Rolly, Julian Morris as Anders, Daniella Alonso as Brenda, Anne Son as Caroline, Sebastian Sozzi as Falcon and Elizabeth Keener as the filmmaker. Based on a Swedish format entitled “On God’s Highway,” “My Generation” was created and written by Noah Hawley (“The Unusuals,” “Bones”), who is also an executive producer along with Warren Littlefield, Henrik Bastin, Peter Magnusson and Martin Persson. The project is from ABC Studios.

ABC Music Lounge Introduces Special ‘Lilith Fair’ Stream; Announces ‘Ugly Betty’ Tribute

ABC Music Lounge goes live today with a special music stream dedicated to Lilith 2010 artists. The stream is filled with over eight hours of songs from artists such as Lilith founder Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Erykah Badu and Marina & The Diamonds, to name a few. The stream is available now on the ABC Music Lounge at www.abcmusiclounge.com.

ABC Music Lounge will also present a musical tribute to the fan-favorite series “Ugly Betty” with a special 11-song playlist available for streaming directly after the series finale, on the ABC Music Lounge on ABC.com Wednesday, April 14 (11:00 p.m., ET) at www.abcmusiclounge.com. The 11 songs selected for the playlist were used throughout the series in pivotal and memorable moments, including two songs performed by the cast.

Updated: Download Music from ‘Prep & Landing’ for Free, Exclusively at ABC Music Lounge

From the upcoming holiday special, “Disney Prep & Landing,” the ABC Music Lounge will exclusively debut the song “Jingle Jang and Jive” by composer Michael Giacchino (“Lost”). The song will be available for free download in the ABC Music Lounge at www.abcmusiclounge.com starting Monday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m., ET/4:00 p.m. PT, until Friday, December 11 at midnight, ET/9:00 p.m., PT.

“Disney Prep & Landing” is ABC’s first television special produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, and will air TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8 (8:30-9:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.

A new version of the holiday classic “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” entitled “Prep & Landing Is Coming to Town,” performed by A Rocket to the Moon, will be available in the ABC Music Lounge holiday stream beginning December 7th.

The half-hour holiday special reveals the never-before-told tale of an elite unit of Elves known as Prep & Landing. Every Christmas Eve this high-tech organization ensures that homes around the world are properly prepared for the yearly visit from The Big Guy, their code name for Santa Claus.
