Yesterday morning, music legends Elton John and Leon Russell took the stage of the historic Beacon Theater in New York City for a live performance that was aired on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America.’ ABC has graciously provided us with these photos from this momentous event which were are pleased to share with you.

In her first-ever appearance at the CMA Awards, Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow will make her live Country Music singing debut on “The 44th Annual CMA Awards,” Wednesday, November 10 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Paltrow performs the title track from her forthcoming feature film, “Country Strong,” and is joined in her CMA Awards performance by legendary singer Vince Gill. RCA Nashville will release the original motion picture soundtrack to “Country Strong” on October 26.
There is no bigger Mariah Carey fan than the talented and charismatic Finis Gaston, a shining star in his own right in his Baker, Florida neighborhood. Imagine his surprise when the music legend came to the small town where he takes care of his niece and nephews. Finis was coaching one of his cheerleading sessions yesterday, Monday, October 18, when Carey announced to the Gaston family that they are the latest recipients of an “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
“Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa,” featuring the voice of Betty White as Mrs. Claus, is slated to air Tuesday, December 7 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), during the holiday classic, “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” The seven-minute animated short is the second installment from the Emmy Award®-winning franchise “Prep & Landing.” Both specials will also air again on Thursday, December 16.

The popular ABC News series “Primetime: What Would You Do?” returns with a full season order of all new scenarios, beginning Friday, October 29 at 9:00 pm ET. The show, which was called “a Candid Camera of Ethics” by The Columbia Journalism Review, ranked No. 1 in its 9:00 pm time period among the broadcast networks in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 during its run this summer. The show more than doubled the performance of ABC in time period, increasing by 110% in Total Viewers and by 133% in Adults 18-49 from the Net’s performance in the hour in the comparable weeks last summer.

“Prep &Landing” returns this season with an all new 7-Minute animated short, “Operation: Secret Santa,” airing on ABC in December, while the half-hour animated special, “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice,” debuts in 2011. “Prep & Landing” became an instant favorite with viewers and emerged as TV’s number 1 holiday special in the 2009 season. It was also the highest kids rating (kids 2-11/ 7.5/23), for any primetime telecast on broadcast TV in 2009. The special went on to win four Emmy Awards.
Two music legends, Elton John and singer songwriter Leon Russell, will perform live on ABC News’ “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, October 20th from the Beacon Theatre. The duo will perform new music from their upcoming album, “The Union,” as well as a classic Elton John song. This album marks the first time they have worked together in over 40 years.
Recorded live in the studio, “The Union” was produced by T Bone Burnett and features a variety of musical genres from R&B, soul, gospel, country, pop and rock. Icons Neil Young and Brian Wilson provide guest vocals on the 14-track record along with legendary R&B organist Booker T. Jones, steel guitarist Robert Randolph and a 10-piece gospel choir. “The Union” will be released October 19th on Decca.
