On December 2, ABC will premiere the second half-hour television special from Pixar Animation Studios, ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot.’ A follow-up to the Halloween-ish ‘Toy Story of TERROR,’ ‘Time Forgot’ is billed as a holiday special, taking place a couple of days after Christmas.
It’s Monday and we can’t think of anything better than Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios releasing the first full featurette from Inside Out (June 19, 2015) and to celebrate the momentous occasion, you are invited to get to know Sadness in-depth in the video embedded below.
From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In Disney/Pixar’s original movie Inside Out, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all — inside the mind.
If there is an emotion to be found in something, you can always count on Walt Disney Studios Japan to exploit it. In this case, they just published the Big Hero 6 music video for AI’s ‘Story,’ presented here in Japanese (if you want to hear the English version which has been released internationally, we have it here).
The music video, which features original animation, tells the message of the song as it applies to the film: when Hiro’s treasured relationship with older brother Tadashi is lost and he feels like he can never recover, he finds solace and a brand new relationship in Tadashi’s legacy, Baymax.
Last weekend, Frozen songwriters Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez held a benefit show for the lower school at Poly Prep in Brooklyn. Joined by stage veteran Kerry Butler and her husband — and ‘Sesame Street’ head writer and puppeteer — Joey Mazzarino, along with a spectacular Olaf puppet, the Oscar Award-winning pair led an audience of mostly students through the process of writing the music for one of the most successful animated films in history.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Disneytoon Studios today announced that ‘Daredevil’ actress Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast (March 3, 2015) as a fiery and courageous fairy called Nyx. Now available for pre-order.
Nyx is a Scout Fairy charged with protecting the lushious land of Pixie Hollow and all of the fairies who reside there. A true professional who takes her job very seriously—maybe a little too seriously—allowing facts and logic to guide her every move. Driven to succeed, Nyx is often willing to let compassion take a back seat. The Scout Fairies are a group of fearless fairies who protect the residents of Pixie Hollow. They are agile and athletic with a keen ability to spot trouble before it gets out of control.

Last month, we told you about a limited edition bundle for Big Hero 6 which combines the Big Hero 6 soundtrack on CD (which is already available separately later this month — the digital release is already available), a 7″ vinyl single of Fall Out Boy’s ‘Immortals’ sporting the face of Baymax and an exclusive poster.
Today we have good news for those who aren’t married to the poster but want the 7″ vinyl — it too will be available a la carte. Amazon is now listing it for a December 16, 2014 release. Walt Disney Records has confirmed to us that it is the same vinyl that will be available in the limited edition bundle.
Disney’s Big Hero 6 arrives into theaters tomorrow, November 7, so what better way to spend Big Hero 6-eve with a new official installment of ‘Fun Facts’ direct from Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios? Below is the list of fresh fun facts, some of which you may know already, but hopefully we’ll all learn something new. So read on!

animation Zach Parrish.
