Walt Disney Animation Studios has just released its teaser ad for its upcoming film, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014) which aired during the 2014 World Cup Finals between Germany and Argentina. The teaser features the first time Hiro has spoken as well as the second video featuring the voice of Baymax. You can find the teaser ad embedded below.
Confirming our earlier report when we offered a first look at upcoming toys from Bandai in support of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Big Hero 6, a limited edition 6″ metallic paint Baymax will be available for purchase at San Diego Comic-Con 2014.
The ‘First Edition Baymax’ will come in exclusive premium packaging and be available only at Disney‘s Big Hero 6 booth (#3635A). Due to limited quantities, tickets to purchase the item will be distributed Thursday through Sunday morning starting from the show opening; sales to exhibitors are limited to Sunday only.

Meet Uku, the star of Pixar’s newest short, Lava, a love story millions of years in the making. Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us this amazing first look at one of the 7 minute, 9 second short’s main leads, Uku (voiced by Kuana Torres Kahele — also the short’s narrator). Uku’s better half, Lele is voiced by Napua Greig.
Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, Lava is a musical love story that takes places over millions of years. It is directed by James Ford Murphy and will play in front of Pixar’s Inside Out, starting in theaters on June 19, 2015.
Yesterday, Lucasfilm introduced a new character from its upcoming animated series, ‘Star Wars Rebels’ — Agent Kallus, an Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) agent. Voiced by David Oyelowo, Kallus is described a ‘ruthless, unforgiving, and an example of the Empire’s tyranny.’ Also described as a ‘rebel hunter,’ Kallus’ position is on the ground, leading stormtroopers in face-to-face battles against anti-Imperial groups — and his combat skills are impressive, including the use of a modified version of Zeb’s honor guard staff.

At its annual holiday preview tour in New York City, Disney Consumer Products today shared the first look at some upcoming toys in support of Big Hero 6 from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
From master licensee Bandai, on display were a sound and lights action figure of Baymax featuring Hiro on his back. Baymax goes into fly mode with wings that pop out and lights up and produces sounds accordingly. Also on display was a replica of Baymax’s arm (in scale) which features a launching fist made of soft foam when the trigger is pressed. Photos and video of the items can be seen below.
Disney Television Animation has begun production on ‘Pickle & Peanut,’ a buddy-comedy series about two unlikely friends – an emotional pickle and a freewheeling peanut – voiced by Jon Heder and Johnny Pemberton respectively.
Scheduled for a fall 2015 premiere on Disney XD, ‘Pickle & Peanut’ employs an innovative mix of 2-D animation and live-action clips to tell the small-town adventures of two underdogs who dream up plans to be anything but ordinary. The series was created by Noah Z. Jones and developed by Joel Trussell. Both Jones and Trussell serve as executive producers. Mark Rivers is the story editor.
