In honor of the theatrical release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast 3D on January 13, 2012, Walt Disney Studios has released this photo of theme song performer Céline Dion alongside Belle and Beast. Also featured are Dion’s husband, René Angélil, and their children Nelson, René-Charles and Eddy. For her performance of the title theme, Dion was awarded a Grammy Award along with Peabo Bryson.
Tangled Ever After picks up where Tangled left off. The Kingdom is in a festive mood as everyone gathers for the royal wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn. However, when Pascal and Maximus, as flower chameleon and ring bearer, respectively, lose the gold bands, a frenzied search and recovery mission gets underway. As the desperate duo tries to find the rings before anyone discovers that they’re missing, they leave behind a trail of comical chaos that includes flying lanterns, a flock of doves, a wine barrel barricade and a very sticky finale. Will Maximus and Pascal save the day and make it to the church in time? And will they ever get Flynn’s nose right?
Admittedly I don’t make it a habit to check out every over-the-fence type shot of the work being done on the New Fantasyland Expansion at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, but when I came across this photo as it was posted on Tumblr, I knew it was something worth sharing.
The photo of Beast’s Castle was taken earlier this month by Matthew Cooper and shared on his Flickr account which shares additional images from Walt Disney World and other locations worth taking a look at.

In addition to confirming our report last month on the October 4, 2011 release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on Disney 3D Blu-ray/DVD, it was also announced through multiple channels that the direct-to-home video films in the series will also be released from the vault: Beauty and the Beast:The Enchanted Christmas, which makes its debut on Disney Blu-ray, and Belle’s Magical World on DVD. Both Special Edition releases will be available to own on November 22, 2011.
Shortly after our pre-announcement of the Phineas and Ferb Live! Tour, Exceutive VP Nicole Feld of Feld Entertainment (the producers of Disney Live! and Disney On Ice touring shows), offered us her appreciation on Twitter and also clued us in on an upcoming Disney On Ice announcement.
Although the announcement still has yet to be made, both the Disney Live! and Disney On Ice Facebook pages recently teased the following:
Ahead of any official announcement, we have learned that the 5-disc edition of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition (now available for pre-order) will be released in 3D Blu-ray format on October 4, 2011, alongside The Lion King.
At first glance, it does not not appear that the 3D Blu-ray edition of Beauty and the Beast will contain any content not already released in the 2D Diamond Edition released last year. Barring any additional information, the only difference appears to be the inclusion of the 3D version which, of course, will require the use of a Sony PlayStation 3 or 3D blu-ray player, a converter and a 3D capable television.
