Fresh from a brief refurbishment, Kouzzina by Cat Cora, located at Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk Resort, has received a few new updates including a chef’s table experience.
We have four newly listed refurbishments at the Walt Disney World Resort to share with you.
First up is Kouzzina by Cat Cora at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. The restaurant will be closed for a couple of weeks beginning on November 29 and re-opening on December 15.
Beginning December 3, the Paddock leisure pool at Disney’s Saratoga Springs DVC Resort will close for an extended refurbishment and is currently scheduled to re-open on June 30, 2011.
The pool and kid slide at Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club will be closed for refurbishment from January 3, 2011 through February 2, 2011 while the pool side at the Boardwalk Inn and Villas will be closed for refurbishment from February 7, 2011 through March 16, 2011.
During this time, guests may continue to make full use of the remainder of the pool and quiet pools and may opt to use the pool at the alternating resort if the use of a slide is desired. Traditionally speaking, a shuttle is offered between the resorts when the pools undergo refurbishments.
Thanks to the Disney Food Blog, we have learned that the fabulous and exclusive ‘Dining with an Imagineer’ program is once again offering the dinner option, this time at the Flying Fish Cafe at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Although the program has always offered a lunch option at Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s, Hollywood Brown Derby, the dinner has been touch-and-go, last offered at Artist Point, but some time ago.
The existing scheduled refurbishments for the Bowling and Computer pools at Pop Century have been swapped with the dates remaining the same.
Additionally, the Luna Park pool at the Boardwalk Inn will close on January 18 and re-open on February 6. At this time, the leisure pools will remain open and guests of the Boardwalk Inn may access Stormalong Bay at the Beach & Yacht Club (shuttle service provided).

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (March 17, 2009) — Chef Cat Cora and Disney are joining together to open an exciting new family dining restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Kouzzina by Cat Cora will feature a menu of Mediterranean-style cuisine that pays tribute to the chef’s Greek roots.
The restaurant, to be owned and operated by Disney, is scheduled to open by fall 2009 in the space currently occupied by Spoodles.
