Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ Eighteen New Hi-Res Photos

Lily James is Cinderella and Cate Blanchett is the Stepmother

In honor of the new trailer and first clip from Cinderella (March 13, 2015), Walt Disney Studios has provided us with eighteen new hi-res photos from the film which have been added to our existing gallery of stills embedded below. We have also learned that songs from the animated classic will be incorporated into the film: Lily James will perform ‘A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes’ and Helena Bonham Carter will perform ‘Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo.’ In addition, the end title track will be a new song titled ‘Strong,’ which was written by Patrick Doyle, Kenneth Branagh and Tommy Danvers and performed by Sonna Rele.

WATCH: Disney ‘Cinderella’ Second Trailer

The story of Cinderella follows the fortunes of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new Stepmother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. But, when Ella’s father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family.

In celebration of the release of Disney’s live action film inspired by the classic fairy tale Cinderella, Disney Consumer Products has collaborated with nine luxury designer shoe brands across the globe to assemble an enchanting collection of shoes that reimagine Cinderella’s iconic glass slipper. The distinguished designers, in alphabetical order, are: Paul Andrew, Alexandre Birman, René Caovilla, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Jerome C. Rousseau, and Stuart Weitzman. Each brand has created its own interpretation of the famed glass slipper Cinderella accidentally leaves behind when the clock strikes midnight.

FIRST LOOK: ‘Frozen Fever’ Stills in High Resolution, Uncropped

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released several new hi-res images from the upcoming short Frozen Fever which can be found in our gallery embedded below. Unlike the stills released earlier today by USA Today, these are in higher resolution and not cropped.

In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.

Swarovski Unveils ‘Cinderella’ As 2015 Limited Edition Disney Collectible

Swarovski 'Cinderella' Given that Swarovski not only designed the iconic glass slippers — featuring a 6 inch heel and 221 facets in a light-reflecting Crystal Blue Aurora Borealis coating — for Disney’s upcoming live-action Cinderella (March 13, 2015), but also provided over 1.7 million crystals for use on Cinderella’s ball gown, the Fairy Godmother’s gown and magic wand, and the wicked stepmother’s dress, plus provided access to its jewelry archives for the film’s ballroom scene, it was probably a no-brainer that when it came to choosing the subject for the limited edition Disney collectible for 2015, it would be in honor of the film.
