Set against the backdrop of America’s favorite pastime, the must-own baseball drama stars Jon Hamm as a sports agent who sets out in search of the next great major league baseball pitcher and ends up discovering the true value of teamwork, commitment and what it means to be a family.

FIRST LOOK: Pixar’s ‘Lava’ Main Character in Super High Resolution

Uku from 'Lava'Meet Uku, the star of Pixar’s newest short, Lava, a love story millions of years in the making. Walt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have provided us this amazing first look at one of the 7 minute, 9 second short’s main leads, Uku (voiced by Kuana Torres Kahele — also the short’s narrator). Uku’s better half, Lele is voiced by Napua Greig.

Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, Lava is a musical love story that takes places over millions of years. It is directed by James Ford Murphy and will play in front of Pixar’s Inside Out, starting in theaters on June 19, 2015.

Sir Ben Kingsley Cast as Bagheera in Disney’s Live Action ‘The Jungle Book’

Walt Disney Studios has announced that Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley has been cast as the voice of Bagheera in Disney’s upcoming The Jungle Book.

Directed by Jon Favreau from a script by Justin Marks, The Jungle Book combines live action and animated filmmaking. The Jungle Book arrives in theaters in 3D on October 9, 2015.

FIRST LOOK: ‘Big Hero 6′ Baymax Toys from Bandai

At its annual holiday preview tour in New York City, Disney Consumer Products today shared the first look at some upcoming toys in support of Big Hero 6 from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

From master licensee Bandai, on display were a sound and lights action figure of Baymax featuring Hiro on his back. Baymax goes into fly mode with wings that pop out and lights up and produces sounds accordingly. Also on display was a replica of Baymax’s arm (in scale) which features a launching fist made of soft foam when the trigger is pressed. Photos and video of the items can be seen below.

‘Lava’ Musical Short to Open Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’ (Hi-Res Poster)

'Lava' from Disney/PixarWalt Disney Studios and Pixar Animation Studios have announced that a brand new Pixar short, Lava, will premiere and open before Inside Out in theaters beginning June 19, 2015. It will be directed by James Ford Murphy and has the following synopsis:

Inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, Lava is a musical love story that takes place over millions of years.

‘Big Hero 6′ Character Key Art Unveiled at Annecy Film Festival

'Big Hero 6' Character Key ArtEarlier today — or yesterday, technically — Walt Disney Animation Studios presented at the annual Annecy Film Festival in France. As part of the presentation, WDAS premiered the short Feast which will play ahead of Big Hero 6 in theaters on November 7, 2014. In addition, Big Hero 6 and Disney/Pixar’s upcoming film Inside Out were also previewed in front of audiences.

As part of the celebration’s decor were colorful blocks which featured key art from all of the upcoming and recent projects from both Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney/Pixar. David Gilson, an illustrator in France, took to his Instagram to share images of these blocks which include key art of all the Big Hero 6 team: Wasabi, Hiro, Go Go Tomago, Honey Lemon, Fred (in Fredzilla form) and, of course, Baymax.

‘Big Hero 6′ Character Rename Confirmed by Studio; Updated Official Synopsis

'Big Hero 6' Teaser PosterBefore releasing the first official teaser trailer for its upcoming animated film, Big Hero 6 (November 7, 2014), earlier today, Walt Disney Animation Studios quietly updated its official synopsis for the film, which did not go unnoticed by us.

While the majority of the changes were minor — mostly more of the flowery aspects and a bit of rearranging — we did happen to notice that one of the characters got a bit of a name change. Initially named Wasabi No-Ginger as he had been in the Marvel comics on which the film is based, his last name was officially dropped for the film, so he will now be known as simply Wasabi.
