Still flying from winning their Creative Arts Emmy the day before, the cast of Disney Channel’s Wizard of Waverly Place held a panel on Sunday in which thousands of fans were treated also to a brief runway fashion show showing off a clothing line inspired by the show, the premiere of the third season (which airs October 9) and a performance by Disney recording artist Honor Society. Hosted by Radio Disney’s Ernie D, the only cast member unable to appear was David DeLuise who had broken his clavicle at the awards ceremony.
Glendale, CA – September 2, 2009 – Disney today unveiled a first glimpse of how it will influence fashion trends in 2010 with the announcement of a spectacular fashion-driven lifestyle program inspired by its upcoming feature Alice In Wonderland. As part of this phenomenal line, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) announced renowned jewelry designer and Council of Fashion Designers of America winner, Tom Binns, as the first in a cadre of top designers and brands soon to be revealed.
In celebration of the forthcoming collection, DCP tipped its hat to fashion staging an unexpected and most elaborate tea party at the MAGIC Marketplace, the world’s most comprehensive fashion trade event, in Las Vegas this week. Wonderland-influenced performers took the unsuspecting MAGIC crowd by surprise as the maddest of tea parties came alive before their eyes showcasing fashion inspirations similar to those releasing in Spring 2010 in conjunction with the film. Proving that it was not just a figment of their imagination, a viral video of this mad spectacle premiered today for all to view at www.YouTube.com/DisneyLiving, DCP’s official YouTube Channel.
Disney Consumer Products caused a scene — both literally and literally — at the MAGIC fashion trade show in Las Vegas earlier this week as a cirque d’alice sprung up from nowhere, stunning the unwittingly invited guests at the ‘Mad Tea at Three’ event designed to generate buzz over an upcoming line of fashion centered around Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. At the ‘spontaneous’ display’s climax, banners sprung up out of nowhere asking attendees ‘what who will you wear to the tea party?’ and the catchy-slash-clever play on the popular fashion cliche, ‘Alice is the new black.’

GLENDALE, Calif. — Disney today unveiled all new tween fashion lines inspired by Disney Channel smash hits JONAS and the Emmy-nominated Wizards of Waverly Place with the launch of a virtual fashion show video on the official Disney Consumer Products YouTube channel, Disney Living. With fashion, accessories, footwear, and more hitting the runway for an audience of ecstatic tweens, this unique video is the first to take Disney-inspired fashions directly to the online tween community. Tween models wearing the latest back-to-school looks rocked the runway as they showed off the hottest styles hitting retailers in July including JC Penney, Kmart, Sears, Walmart, Target and DisneyStore.com.

BENTONVILLE, Ark., June 3 — Walmart today announced the introduction of Miley Cyrus & Max Azria, a new clothing line available only at Walmart. Walmart brings together best-selling artist and entertainer Miley Cyrus and Max Azria of apparel house BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP, Inc. to offer customers affordable and trend-right apparel. The line will arrive in all Walmart stores and on Walmart.com in early August, and includes tops, pants, graphic tees, shoes and accessories, all priced less than $20.
“Our launch of the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria line continues our strategy of engaging customers across categories,” said John Fleming, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart U.S. “This time, we’re bringing together a leading entertainer and a top apparel house to bring exciting product and price leadership to our customers.”
Miley Cyrus’ rock-and-roll roots influenced many of the looks.
