According to Box Office Mojo, Disney’s remake of the 1977 classic Pete’s Dragon has been given a theatrical release date of August 12, 2016. The film has made news in recent days via reports that Michael C. Hall and Wes Bentley are now attrached to the project that also involves Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard and Oakes Fegley.
Via the film’s official Facebook page, Walt Disney Studios has released the first concept art for Jon Favreau’s live action/CGI hybrid The Jungle Book (October 9, 2015), currently in production.
According to the concept art’s description, Mowgli — a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves — embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known.

Gushing over the concept art for Maleficent over and over? Guilty. The official Evil is the New Black blog, which gave us our first doses of the concept art (see the growing gallery embedded below), has now posted yet another image seen here which features Maleficent as she approaches King Stefan’s castle. Perhaps most interesting, however, is that the castle itself appears to take some direction from another castle: Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland, which was so-named not because of its resemblance to any structure in the 1959 animated film, but simply to promote the film (well before it opened, no less).
Another day and the Maleficent publicity machine continues to crank out tons of fascinating images, both conceptual and straight from the actual film. Walt Disney Studios has once again provided us with several newly released high-res stills from Maleficent, in theaters May 30, 2014, as well as more concept art. Both the new stills and concept art have been added to the beginning of their respective galleries embedded below.
Walt Disney Studios has provided us with approximately 24 newly released high-res stills from Maleficent, in theaters May 30, 2014. Disney has launched a new fashion-oriented blog in support of Maleficent at disneymaleficent.tumblr.com which is teased with the tagline ‘Evil is the New Black’ (evilisthenewblack.com also forwards to the blog). Although aside from a couple of obligatory GIFs designed to go viral, the site is primarily offering news and images related to fashion lines inspired by the new film. In addition, to the pro-fashion slant, however, are several images which appear to be concept art for the film, featuring both the Maleficent and Aurora characters (as well as the Moors and its inhabitants). For your convenience, we have gathered these images together into a gallery which you will find embedded below.
