‘Frozen’ New Concept Art of Arendelle (Ultra Hi-Res)
Walt Disney Studios has provided us with a very hi-res version of the concept art recently shared from Frozen from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
When a prophecy traps the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter, Anna (Kristen Bell), a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer, Sven, on an epic journey to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen (Idina Menzel), and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and featuring original songs and music written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Frozen journeys into theaters on November 27, 2013.

First Look: ‘Frozen’ Concept Art Featuring Anna, Kristoff (Hi-Res)

‘Monsters University’ Character Sheets Introduce Squishy, Terry & Terri and More
Another site has posted several Monsters University character poses it has received from Disney/Pixar. Among the illustrations of a younger, thinner James P. Sullivan and a younger, metallic Mike Wazowski are newly revealed characters including Art, Don, Squishy, Squishy’s Mom and the twins, Terri and Terry.
Interestingly enough, a cursory search turned up only one other mention of Squishy and that was in a PEZ candy sales page which displays a photo of Squishy, Mike W, Sulley and Randall as PEZ dispensers, available May 2013. On a tangent, the brochure also mentions an all new Disney Channel Original Movie for ‘Phineas and Ferb’s Christmas Vacation’ in 2013 when introducing its Candace dispenser.
[The art featured here has been removed as requested by Walt Disney Studios. We look forward to its official release.]
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
Screaming with laughter and fun, Monsters University stars the vocal talents of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray and Peter Sohn and is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Concept Art for Nintendo Wii, DS and 3DS Video Game
With just under a week to go before it releases its adaptation of ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ the video game for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS, Activision has teased us with new concept art for the game featuring the dreaded cy-bugs from ‘Hero’s Duty.’
Here we get to see several variations of the cy-bugs including a juvenile (presumably freshly hatched from its egg), a flying minion, a lamp cy-bug (which has a few special secrets of its own) and the Queen, who dwarfs 9′ tall Ralph in this art.
As per the Amazon.com description, features of the game include: the ability to swap avatars on-the-fly, meaning you opt to use Ralph to destroy objects or Fix-It Felix to repair them; collecting medals and Easter eggs; varying levels of play; and four environments based on the movie.
Earlier this month, Walt Disney Animation Studios released this teaser video of the game (which doesn’t provide much of anything short of the promise the game is coming):
‘Wreck-It Ralph’ the video game from Activision will be available in North America on October 30, 2012

‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Hi-Res Concept Art, Stills
Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided us with several new hi-res stills and concept art from its upcoming film, Wreck-It Ralph. The new images have been added to the beginning of their respective galleries below. Some of these images may have been seen elsewhere before but as we have just received them, we’ve added them to complete our libraries.
Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer), the ‘good guy’ star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he’s tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.
On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty. But it’s the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late?

New Fantasyland Concept Art Vividly Features Princesses in Enchanted Forest
Via an email to Disney Travel Agents regarding the newly made announcements regarding the Enchanted Forest portion of the New Fantasyland Expansion at the Walt Disney World Resort on December 6, 2012 (soft opening November 19), a few pieces of concept art were released. They appear to be new, but it is quite possible they’ve been released previously and we just missed them, but even if they are old news they are beautiful enough to warrant sharing again.
The first image features Belle as she reads one of her favorite books outside the cottage belonging to her father Maurice while the Beast’s castle looms in the far off distance, ‘miles’ away.
- The castle of the Beast stands majestically upon a hill and houses the Be Our Guest Restaurant (reservations open for November 19 on August 20 at
12 pm7 AM ET), which will feature a lavish dining experience in the elegant ballroom, gallery and mysterious ‘West Wing’ of the castle. With seating for 550, this eatery promises a French bistro flavor, offering ‘great food fast’ service by day and full table service dining in the evening. - Maurice’s Cottage (decorated with a few of his wacky contraptions!) is situated in Belle’s Village amongst a French countryside setting complete with a wishing well and rustic foot bridge. The inventor’s humble workshop welcomes guests into the first scene of Enchanted Tales with Belle and Lumiere, a lively retelling of the ‘tale as old as time.’
- Nearby in Belle’s Village, guests will find the rousing Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.
In the second piece of concept art, it’s Ariel in mermaid form as she gazes longingly at the castle which belongs to Prince Eric.
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid is a major new attraction that takes guests on a ride with Ariel and her friends through their exciting adventures above and below the waves – all against a musical backdrop of songs from the classic film.
- Ariel’s Grotto provides a way to meet and greet with The Little Mermaid herself.
