Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios have offered several STEM-related contests in the past tied to films, often limiting entries to girls in particular to encourage their science and math educations. For Captain America: Civil War, however, they’re raising the stakes, offering a top prize of an internship with Marvel Studios.
The contest is called MARVEL’S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR – GIRLS REFORMING THE FUTURE CHALLENGE and can be found at captainamericacivilwarchallenge.com. It’s open to girls ages 15-18, in the 10th-12th grades. Entries must consist of a 5 minute video, proposing a STEM related project to make the make the world a better place.
