No, there is nothing wrong with your monitor, these new Vinylmation figures from the Disney Design Group really do have alien-like extensions protruding from their heads. They are in fact the members of the limited edition Vinylmation Condiments series and we’re getting our first look at them courtesy of the official Vinylmation blog. Designed to represent the typical squeeze bottles for your favorite condiments, the colors are dead-on. In fact, we believe the honey bear Vinylmation will probably be worth the price of admission alone.
If you haven’t been keeping up with the Vinylmation blog, now’s a good time to do so. Over the past few days, the blog has been sharing actual photos of Vinylmations from its upcoming Have a Laugh series which features iconic characters from classic Disney films.
UPDATE: 6/10/10 – The Vinylmation Condiments collection will be released at the Disneyland Resort on June 25 (Walt Disney World and DisneyStore.com dates unknown at this time). It will retail for $84.95 and is limited to 2000 pieces.

Vinylmation Announces Showcase Event at Epcot August 29; Tickets Now Available
Disney’s Vinylmation has announced that it will present a Vinylmation Showcase inside the World Showplace at Walt Disney World’s Epcot on Sunday, August 29 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm as part of the Trade City, USA Disney pin event.
Tickets are $25 per guest and admission to Epcot is required, but participation in the Trade City, USA event is not.

Vinylmation Previews Another Upcoming Classic
From the upcoming Have A Laugh series which highlights classic Disney short, the official Vinylmation blog presents this artwork of the seal in the bathtub from the 1948 classic Mickey and the Seal.
Previously the blog had featured a character from the 1937 short Lonesome Ghosts.

Disney Previews a Very Spirited Vinylmation
Today on the official Vinylmation blog, we get a sneak peek at some artwork for an upcoming Vinylmation release. The mysteriously vague entry simply asks if you recognize just who this fellow is?
It took us all of half a breath to scream out the answer, thanks mostly to a vivid memory of a particular toy from Fisher Price.

Disney Enacts Limits on Purchase of Limited Edition Vinylmations; Wall-E Release Details
Via the official blog, Disney Theme Park Merchandising has announced that going forward, guests will be limited to purchasing two (2) of any particular Vinylmation designated as a limited edition. This affects only limited edition releases, not limited release or other editions.
In addition, the blog also brings details and a look at the boxed set for the Wall*E/Eve limited edition Vinylmations which are set to be released at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts tomorrow. The blog advises that those seeking to purchase the set can do so at the following locations:

Vinylmation Artist Signing Event at Walt Disney World, January 29
On January 29, there will be a special signing opportunity to meet with Vinylmation artists who have made recent contributions to the collections. Scheduled to appear are Dan Howard (Urban #3), Maria Clapsis (Urban #3, Wall*E/Eve set) and Randy Noble (Cinderella 60th Anniversary). The event takes place from 5 pm – 7 pm at the Art of Disney at the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Wall*E/Eve LE Vinylmation Set to be Released January 22; Cinderella Vinylmation January 15
Some more news from the official Vinylmation blog which first reports that the Cinderella 60th anniversary special edition vinylmation which we told you about here will be released at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts on January 15.
Then, a week later, on January 22, the collector set featuring Disney/Pixar’s Wall*E and Eve will be released at both resorts on January 22 and is limited to an edition size of 500. The blog promises to have additional information as well as artwork of the box they are both packaged in soon.

Available in late January at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, Vinylmation presents a 3″ figure commemorating the 60th anniversary of Disney’s Cinderella and a 9″ figure commemorating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Space Mountain.

First Look: Walt Disney World 2010 Marathon Vinylmations to be Released Jan 8
On its official blog, Disney Vinylmation has introduced three new Vinylmation special edition figures that will be released at the Walt Disney World resort on January 8 in honor of upcoming 2010 marathon events, each designed by Disney Design Group artist Maria Clapsis.
Pictured from top to bottom are the 3″ Walt Disney World 2010 Marathon figure, the 3″ Walt Disney World 2010 Half Marathon Figure and the 9″ Walt Disney World Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge 2010 figure.
Guests do not need to be marathon participants in order to purchase the special edition Vinylmation figures which will be available at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.
