Report: TV Personality and Disney Legend Art Linkletter Dead at Age 97

Zimbio is reporting the death of Art Linkletter today at age 97.

Named a Disney Legend in 2005, Art Linkletter was a prolific television and radio personality, hosting several network programs. Linkletter is also known to Disney fans as the host of the opening ceremonies of Disneyland in 1955 as well as the host of the Happiest Celebration on Earth kickoff when Disneyland celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005. Linkletter was named a Disney Legend that same year.

Child Hit and Killed by Bus at Walt Disney World Near Fort Wilderness

WESH and Orlando Sentinel are reporting on a 10 year old boy who was tragically struck and killed by a bus earlier today shortly before 2 pm near Fort Wilderness at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Not too many details are currently available but WESH indicates that the accident occurred at Fort Wilderness Trail and Big Pine Trail.

Head-on Collision Near Epcot Leaves Two Dead

According to reports, the drivers of two vehicles collided head-on early Sunday morning around 2 am when a man was driving in the wrong lane along Epcot Center Drive. As a result, both cars caught fire with their drivers trapped inside. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Fatal Accident at WDW Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured (Updated) is reporting on an vehicular accident that took place on Walt Disney World property on Sunday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a driver ended up swerving off the road into the path of an oncoming tour bus, killing the driver and sending three passengers on the bus for treatment for minor injuries.. UPDATE: Additional reports have confirmed the driver to be 47 year old Teresa Scarborough of Clermont, Florida and the number of persons treated for injuries is two. One report notes the bus was ‘parked’ while another indicates Scarborough lost control of the car and crossed into the lane of the oncoming traffic, according to the FHP.
