‘Disney Universe’ Flies to Agrabah for ‘Aladdin’ with New Video, Costumes and Screenshots
Today we get our sixth and final look at the lands to explore in Disney Interactive’s ‘Disney Universe’ before it hits shelves on October 25 (available for pre-order for Xbox, PS3, Wii and PC), just in time for Halloween. The world of Aladdin joins previously viewed worlds Monsters, Inc., Wall-E, Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean as the six worlds that will ship with the game, with more becoming available via Downloadable Content (DLC) for the Microsoft Xbox and PlayStation 3 editions.
‘Disney Universe’ New ‘Pirates World’ Video, Screen Captures
In honor of International Talk Like A Pirates Day, we have a new video look at the ‘Pirates World’ portion of the upcoming Disney Interactive Studios title, ‘Disney Universe’ which will be available to own October 25 (and now available for pre-order from Amazon.com).
Although we had previously gotten a look at the Captain Jack Sparrow costume from the game’s box art, we also now get a look at the Angelica costume via the newly released screenshots from the playing level, with hopefully more costumes to be released to us later today. We’ve now added costumes for Jack, Angelica, Mr. Gibbs, Blackbeard and Barbossa!
‘Disney Universe’ New ‘Lion King’ Trailer and Costumes, Box Art Reveals New Costumes
It appears Halloween has come a day early as new information for ‘Disney Universe’ from Disney Interactive Studios has surfaced today rather than the original anticipated date of August 18, otherwise known as Disney D23 Expo-eve. Although we expect to see more character costumes and screenshots within the next day or so, Disney has released a new gameplay trailer featuring The Lion King, one of six worlds that will come with the game initially, with more promised in the way of Downloadable Content on the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox platforms in the future. Other previously share worlds include Disney/Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and WALL-E along with Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
‘The Incredible Machine’ for iPad by Disney Mobile Released
The iconic PC classic game of logic is back, this time exclusively for the iPad. At E3, Disney Mobile announced it’s bringing ‘The Incredible Machine’ to the iPad this month. Originally released for the PC in 1993 and named one of the Top 150 games by Computer Gaming World magazine, ‘The Incredible Machine’ challenges players to solve puzzles by building comically-engineered contraptions to accomplish simple objectives. With straightforward touch controls, Retina Display graphics, original music, and great sound effects, ‘The Incredible Machine’ inspires the imagination with mind-bending invention, physics and hours of fun.
Disney Universe – New Gameplay Trailer, Screenshots and Character Images
In honor of E3, Disney Interactive Studios has released a brand new trailer which features actual gameplay taking place in both the Monsters, Inc. and Alice in Wonderland worlds, two of six that will be included at the initial launch with additional worlds available in the future via downloadable content on the Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox platforms.
The game trailer also shows off some of the potential co-op play in which players work both with each other and against each other to accomplish the various tasks.
CONFIRMED: ‘Disney Universe’ Coming to Game Console Near You, Fall 2011
Last week, we reported a brief appearance of a video game titled ‘Disney Universe’ that had made its way to Amazon.com but was removed shortly thereafter.
The game, with adaptations for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, boasts the ability for gamers to team up to play more than 40 popular characters from the Disney arsenal.
Expected to be announced at or shortly prior to E3 next week, Disney Interactive Studios has released the following teaser for the game, which it now confirms to be released later this year. The teaser features little blue characters in CosPlay format, portraying a character from TRON: Legacy, Mike Wazowski from Disney/Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch along with the tagline: ‘Suit Up. Power Up. Team Up.’
Disney Interactive Studios Will Bring the Magic to Nintendo DS with ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’
Disney Interactive Studios today announced the company will publish The Sorcerer’s Apprentice video game, inspired by the upcoming feature film “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is scheduled to appear in North American retail outlets on July 13, 2010, exclusively for Nintendo DS™.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an action-packed 3D arcade video game that casts players in the role of Dave, the powerful sorcerer’s apprentice, as he joins a mystical fight against the ultimate evil in a world filled with fantastical quests and magical combat.
Phineas and Ferb Return to Nintendo DS with New Adventures, Gadgets and Rides!
Disney Interactive Studios has announced Phineas and Ferb: Ride Again for Nintendo DS™. In this new game inspired by the hit Disney XD and Disney Channel television series, players will enter the world of Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher where they will adventure through the depths of Atlantis and outer space, not to mention their own backyard, to build the most wicked rides ever.

‘Disney Sing It: Family Hits’ to be Released August 3; Now Available for Pre-Order
Amazon.com now lists Disney Sing It: Family Hits as being released for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii
on August 3, 2010.
The game features 30 songs from Disney and Pixar animated classics, allowing up to eight players to compete in karaoke in family mode. The game also features performance tips from Anika Noni Rose from The Princess and the Frog.
