Set in outer space, the series charts the missions of the Callisto family – 7-year-old Miles, big sister Loretta and their scientist parents Phoebe and Leo, who work for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Each episode features two 11-minute adventure-filled stories as Miles and his family explore strange new worlds, taking young viewers and their families on a journey that fuels kids’ natural interest in the universe, and at the same time reminding them that what matters most is what lies closer to home – the family bond.

Meanwhile, Topanga works on executing the perfect meal to put her mother-in-law at ease while Shawn sees his likeness in Maya and forms a bond with her and Riley. Guest starring are Rider Strong as Shawn Hunter, Betsy Randle as Amy Matthews, William Russ as Alan Matthews and Uriah Shelton as Joshua Matthews.

‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Battle for the Book!’ on DVD in January

'Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Battle of the Book'! on DVDWalt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Battle for the Book!’ — the next primetime special for the Disney Junior animated hit, which will air on October 26 — will be available to own on DVD on January 6, 2015. Now available for pre-order.

When Wendy’s special Storybook is stolen by Captain Hook, Jake and his mates go to London to help Peter Pan’s friend (from the classic movie Peter Pan). The longer the book is out of Wendy’s hands, the more she and her brothers (John and Michael) forget about their past adventures on Never Land. The battle for the book continues in Never Land, where Hook plans to destroy the book and its stories in the legendary Ring of Blue Fire. It’s up to our young heroes to save Wendy’s Storybook and the Story of Peter Pan!

'Miles from Tomorrowland' 'Mighty Merc'It’s been more than a year since we first learned about ‘Miles from Tomorrowland,’ an upcoming animated series from Disney Junior, which is slated for a 2015 debut. Since that time, not much else has been revealed about the program beyond the synopsis, but today we have acquired a few additional details thanks to a couple of upcoming books announced by Disney Publishing Worldwide.

Disney’s ‘Mickey Mouse: Season One’ on DVD in December

'Mickey Mouse: Season One' DVDAhead of any official announcement, Amazon has begun listing ‘Mickey Mouse: Season One‘ with a release date of December 2, 2014, although it’s worth noting that Walmart (where the artwork came from in this case) has been listing it for an August 26, 2014 release for some time now.

According to the new listing, the DVD will contain nineteen of the shorts from the award-winning series’ first season as well as a bonus ‘making of’ featurette. The  bonus feature, ‘The Making of Disney Mickey Mouse,’ features creators discussing ‘the fun of working with one of the world’s most beloved and recognized characters as they create a fresh new take on an iconic character — Mickey Mouse — for the new millennium.’
