Disney’s beloved Peter Pan makes his way back to Never Land and makes his debut in the popular Disney Junior series ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’ in an all-new primetime special, ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns.’

Premiering on Disney Channel on February 13 at 7:00 pm ET/PT, Peter Pan (voiced by Adam Wylie) arrives on Pirate Island to enlist the aid of Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully in finding his lost shadow. The special will also include six original songs.

Starting Monday, February 6, DisneyJunior.com/PeterPan will feature ‘Jake’s Countdown to Peter Pan’ and the debut of a new two-part game, ‘Shadow Shenanigans,’ where players can take on the role of Peter Pan’s shadow to try to wake the sleeping Jolly Roger crew and then play a shadow matching game.

A full-length preview of ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Peter Pan Returns’ will become available via Disney Channel on Demand on February 6. Mobile providers Sprint TV and MobiTV will simulcast the special in conjunction with the television premiere on February 13 on Disney Channel. The special will be available the following day on mobile VOD for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon customers.

The second season of ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’ continues on Disney Junior with all new episodes starting February 20. Disney Channel has shared with us these first look publicity image and stills from its upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Let It Shine, starring Tyler James Williams, Coco Jones and Trevor Jackson. Let It Shine is a modern day teenaged take on the classic Cyrano de Bergerac story set against the worlds of gospel and hip-hop music.

The story follows 16-year-old Cyrus DeBarge (Tyler James Williams), an aspiring musician who has a gift for rhyme yet lacks the self-confidence to take the stage and, through his rap song, tell his longtime crush Roxanne Andrews (Coco Jones) how he feels about her. After he and his flighty best friend, Kris McDuffy (Trevor Jackson) enter a songwriting contest, Kris is mistakenly named the winner for a song Cyrus wrote. Fearful of being thrust into the spotlight, Cyrus panics and allows Kris to take credit for his heartfelt lyrics and soon he’s standing by as Roxanne begins to fall for Kris.

The Let It Shine soundtrack will feature 12 original songs by acclaimed music producers/songwriters/performers such as Rock Mafia, Grammy-winner Toby Gad and David Banner. It will premiere on Disney Channel in June 2012.

‘Octonauts’ introduces young viewers to exciting new underwater worlds and fascinating marine life. In each 22-minute episode, Captain Barnacles, Lieutenant Kwazii and Medic Peso receive an ‘octo alert,’ which serves as a call to action for the heroes to embark on the day’s mission. With help from their extended crew –Tweak, a bunny mechanical engineer; Shellington, a marine biologist sea otter; Dashi, a dependable dog who serves as the Octonauts’ official mission photographer; Professor Inkling, the Octonauts’ octopus founder; and Tunip, a special breed of underwater sea creature called a vegimal – the team sets out to explore, rescue and protect their unique underwater habitat.

Frenemies stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya (from Disney Channel’s ‘Shake It Up’), Stefanie Scott (from Disney Channel’s ‘A.N.T. Farm’), Mary Mouser (from ‘Body of Proof’) and Nick Robinson (from ABC Family’s ‘Melissa and Joey’) in an anthology that follows three pairs of friends as they navigate the delicate balance when besties go to worsties, and back again.

Frenemies follows the lives of three very different sets of friends dealing with the ups and downs of friendship. The first story follows Halley and Avalon, best friends who are overjoyed when a publisher wants to turn their fashion blog into a magazine, but their friendship is put to the test when they learn that the magazine only wants one of them to stay on as senior editor. The second story follows the inseparable science-whiz Jake and his dog, Murray. Jake is excited to introduce Murray to his new science project partner (and crush), Julianne, but there’s something about her that Murray just doesn’t like – and the feeling is mutual. In the last story, tomboy Savannah, who comes from a large high-energy family, meets privileged uptown girl Emma, who looks like her twin. The two girls become fast friends and decide to trade places for a while, but realize that life on the other side isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

When Dylan Schoenfield (Hyland), Woodlands Academy’s top girl, accidentally drops her expensive ‘it’ handbag into the mall fountain, she is surprised that film geek, Josh Rosen (Prokop), retrieves it for her. In exchange for rescuing her bag, Dylan must agree to be the subject of Josh’s documentary film. Dylan hopes the film will help her campaign for Blossom Queen – she claims that winning is her only life goal. Josh plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity, but, as he gets to know Dylan, he learns that the real Dylan is much more interesting than the persona she’s created. At the last minute, Josh decides that his film should introduce this awesome girl to the world, but how will Dylan react when she sees it?

This week, as part of the initiative, First Lady Obama met with China Anne McClain and Doug and Chris Brochu at the White House regarding Joining Forces, their contribution to the effort and Disney’s legacy of support for military families.

Disney’s support of the White House’s Joining Forces initiative has included special Disney movie screenings at military bases across the country, a Joining Forces-themed episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, ESPN programming dedicated to the military and veterans, and Disney Park’s special celebrations for military members and their families. The company also supports USO with ongoing programs such as Operation Disney Care Packages sent to USO centers worldwide.

First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden created Joining Forces to bring Americans together to recognize, honor and take action to support military families as they serve our country and throughout their lives. The initiative aims to educate, challenge, and spark action from all sectors of society to ensure military families have the support they have earned. The initiative focuses on key priority areas – employment, education, and wellness while raising awareness about the service, sacrifice, and needs of military families.

Disney Channel has shared with us this sneak peek of the music video for ‘Dig Down Deeper’ by ‘Shake It Up’ star Zendaya.

The theme song to the upcoming Pixie Hollow special, ‘Pixie Hollow Games,’ ‘Dig Down Deeper’ recently made its premiere on the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown and will be available for purchase on iTunes as a single beginning on November 8. The music video, from which you can see stills and clip below, will premiere on Disney Channel on November 5.

On November 19 at 7:00 pm ET/PT, Disney Channel will premiere ‘Pixie Hollow Games,’ starring the voice talents of Mae Whitman (Tinker Bell), Raven-Symoné (Iridessa), Lucy Liu (Silvermist), Megan Hilty (Rosetta), Brenda Song (Chloe), Jason Dolley (Rumble), Tiffany Thornton (Glimmer) and Zendaya herself as Fern. In ‘Pixie Hollow Games,’ the adventure-filled story follows spirited newcomer Chloe as she, along with Tinker Bell and the fairies, and sparrow men of Pixie Hollow, gather for the legendary Pixie Hollow Games, a tournament-style sporting event where Chloe is determined to inspire her trailing team to believe in themselves and bring home the championship.
