LOS ANGELES — Hulu and The Walt Disney Company today announced that Disney, through a subsidiary of ABC Enterprises Inc., has agreed to join NBC Universal, News Corporation and Providence Equity Partners as a joint venture partner and equity owner of Hulu, a leading online aggregator of video content. Upon closing, the agreement will enhance Hulu’s programming line-up through the expanded online distribution of Disney’s most popular current and library primetime series and library feature films. In particular, full-length episodes of hit current and library programs like Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Greek, Hope and Faith, Less Than Perfect, Wizards of Waverly Place, Phineas and Ferb, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, General Hospital, The View and The Secret Life of the American Teenager will soon be streamed on Hulu on an ad-supported basis.
Disney Channel stars Mitchel Musso (“Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb”) and Tiffany Thornton (“Sonny With A Chance”) perform the new high-energy pop dance song, “Let It Go,” from the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, “Hatching Pete,” in a music video to debut SATURDAY, MARCH 28 (7:20 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Leading up to the television debut, the handclapping, chanting song will be available exclusively online at www.Disney.com/MusicVideos and mark its debut on Radio Disney on March 20.

Three talented young actors, each a familiar face to Disney Channel viewers, Jason Dolley (“Cory in the House”), Mitchel Musso (“Hannah Montana” and “Phineas and Ferb”) and Tiffany Thornton (“Sonny With A Chance”), cross over to star in the comedy “Hatching Pete,” a Disney Channel Original Movie premiering Friday, April 24 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). It’s being reported that Disney will invest $233 million into new projects for the free Disney Channel in Russia currently in development in partnership with Media One TV (Disney will have a 49% stake in the channel). The channel is already expected to air dubbed versions of Hannah Montana and other Disney Channel staples, but will also feature exclusive content developed directly for the market.
