With nearly a month to go before the movie premiere of ‘Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess’ on November 18, leading into a full fledged series to begin in spring, Disney Store has begun making some merchandise available online.
Already a top-rated series seen in more than 150 countries worldwide, hit pre-school animation property ‘The Hive’ is finally landing in the U.S. on the Disney Junior channel, debuting on Monday, October 8. The Hive will air weekdays at 1:00 pm ET/PT and weekends at 11:30 am ET/PT.
A fun and friendly kids TV series in beautiful CGI animation, ‘The Hive’ follows the fortunes of Buzzbee and friends in their fun-packed adventures in the Hive. Disney Junior has quietly launched a microsite at sofiathefirst.com in anticipation of its first original Disney princess, ‘Sofia the First.’ An original movie is set to premiere on November 18, 2012 at 7 pm ET on Disney Channel, to be followed by a series commencing in spring 2013.
Disney/ABC Television Group will sponsor interactive activities for kids and families to celebrate creativity and innovation, at World Maker Faire 2012, a two-day exposition spanning science, technology and the arts at the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI), September 29-30. These next generation of thinkers and tinkerers are invited to take part in an inventive healthy cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Carla Hall, co-host of ABC’s popular daytime series “The Chew”; participate in activities inspired by Disney’s hit series “Phineas and Ferb” and “Jake and the Never Land Pirates”; and use human-power to activate an eco-friendly Disney XD game.
