Just ahead of Toy Fair which begins this weekend, Mattel has unveiled its new collection of Disney Sparkling Princess collection. Featuring Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Show White and Tiana, the beloved princesses characters sparkle in updated versions of their signature gowns. Each Disney Princess is outfitted in a beautiful, jewel-toned dress featuring glittery details, ruffle accents, and a matching tiara.
The Disney Sparkling Princess dolls will be available in stores in March and will retail for $10.99 each.

Disney recently released ‘Disney Pix,’ its free software for its new AppClix iPad ‘appcessory.’ Manufactured by Vivitar, the AppClix effectively replaces Disney’s previous lines of licensed PIX digital cameras. In addition to being able to plug directly into the iPad to download and share photos, the AppClix boasts a 7MP camera, which is an impressive milestone for what is basically being marketed as a toy.

For the unfortunate many who didn’t have the opportunity to pick up the five remaining Disney Princess Designer Doll collection that were released yesterday, I would like to take a moment to extend this gesture as a thank you for the support over the years and provide you with as much information — as well as direct links — to the dolls prior to their online sale today, especially since these dolls have the smallest edition size to date, with only 4,000 each (6,000 for Rapunzel).
Now in the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that I do normally receive a very small percentage of DisneyStore.com sales that originate from this site and, because I normally don’t receive proper links until a day after items are put up, I would normally simply provide item numbers. However, in this case, I am making an exception, so I ask that, as soon as possible, you just click through to DisneyStore.com via the link here and that will set it up for me so I can attempt to get credit from any sales that stem from here. It won’t cost you any more than just a few seconds of your time and it helps the site out tremendously.
With that out of the way, here’s how the sale will work. A little after 11 am ET today, DisneyStore.com will close down temporarily. It will return online at (or a little after) 12 pm ET/9 am PT, at which point the online supply of dolls will be available.

Photos: Rapunzel Arrives in London in Preparation of Coronation Ceremony
In anticipation of her royal coronation ceremony at Kensington Palace on October 2, Rapunzel has arrived in London and is touring various historical locations this week. Her first stop is the Salt Tower at the Tower of London, where her hair can currently be spotted draping down, awaiting the arrival of her true love, Flynn Rider. Disney Store to Release All Remaining Princess Designer Dolls at Once
In response to backlash stemming from frustrations trying to purchase the limited edition Disney Princess Designer dolls online, Disney Store has announced a new release policy via its Facebook page. The new release policy replaces the one doll per week, online and in-store simultaneous release.
Video Contest Offers Chance for Young Fans to Attend Rapunzel Coronation Ceremony
As Rapunzel is welcomed into the Disney Princess royal court on October 2 at Kensington Palace in London, England, Disney Princess fans can feel a part of the special occasion by participating in an online video contest on Disney.com. Whether it’s the kindness shown by Cinderella, determination of Tiana, or adventurous nature of Rapunzel, girls connect with Disney Princess characters in different ways to bring their own stories to life. With the “Your Princess Moment – The Story Begins With You” video upload contest, fans age 12 and under can submit a 45-second video singing part of one of four songs from the upcoming Disney Princess Fairy Tale Songscompilation album – available September 20 from Walt Disney Records. Alternatively, fans can submit a video recreating a favorite Disney Princess scene, dressing up or performing a dance.
Alfred Angelo to Debut Line of Prom Dresses Inspired by Disney Princesses
Alfred Angelo, leading gown manufacturer, is pleased to announce its second collaboration with Disney Consumer Products, this time on the launch of the 2012 prom collection— Disney Royal Ball by Alfred Angelo. Boutique owners will be able to preview the entire collection at the August Atlanta Apparel Fashion Show this week (August 18 -22, 2011).

LEAKED: Disney Store ‘Princess Designer Doll Collection’ Photos
It appears that those eager to catch a glimpse of the new ‘Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection’ won’t have to wait until Disney D23 Expo after all. The dolls, which re-imagine all ten Disney princesses as runway fashion models, were scheduled to be unveiled at the Expo next weekend with one princess per week being released at Disney Store locations beginning on Monday, August 22.
The picture quality doesn’t appear to be that great, but considering they probably weren’t taken with consent, one has to forgive that just a little.
