EC GRIZZLY SHOOT 2012 2164 Bears from Disneynature to be Released Spring 2014The future looks wild, as the Walt Disney Studio’s Disneynature label unveils its new film slated for the big screen in Spring 2014.

Disneynature’s 2014 motion picture Bears cozies up to the brown bears who call Alaska’s stunning coastal mountains and shores their home, revealing through tender moments and entertaining imagery how these animals are far from grizzly creatures. This shooting location provides some of the most spectacular visuals ever for a Disneynature film. The film is directed by Keith Scholey (African Cats) and Alastair Fothergill (Earth,  African Cats and Chimpanzee).

“Our commitment to the production of Disneynature films is to capture nature on its own terms and its own schedule. These films are never rushed so that we can tell never-before-seen stories in our natural world that both astound and charm audiences,” said Alan Bergman, president, The Walt Disney Studios. “Disneynature’s next adventure Bears promises to continue this storytelling tradition by introducing audiences to a phenomenal variety of wildlife and offering rare glimpses into the day-to-day lives of these incredible animals.”

Bears is currently in production in Alaska’s Katmai National Park.

‘Imagineering the Magic: Magic Kingdom’ DVD Now Available at Theme Parks

ITM MK 2009 Cover 114x160 Imagineering the Magic: Magic Kingdom DVD Now Available at Theme ParksA follow-up to the immensely well received Imagineering the Magic: Disneyland, Richard Skillman’s Imagineering the Magic: Magic Kingdom is now available through Disney Theme Park Merchandising.

Hosted by Imagineer Diego Parras, the documentary uses historical and rare film footage to show the story of the transformation of swampland in central Florida to the most visited theme park in the world today through the stories and direct recollections of respected Imagineers such as Tom Fitzgerald, Tony Baxter, Kathy Rogers, Eric Jacobson, Kevin Rafferty and — of course — Marty Sklar, the only individual to open all 11 Disney parks.

“Our Imagineering the Magic: Disneyland DVD has been one of most successful park DVDs,” commented Betsy Singer, Product Developer for Disney Theme Park Merchandise. “Our guests enjoy the behind the magic stories and inspiration that the Imagineers bring to these videos and we hope they will enjoy Imagineering the Magic: Magic Kingdom as much as they have our first DVD.”

Imagineering the Magic: MagicKingdom has a suggested retail price of $29.95 and is currently available at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts as well as through WDW Merchandising at 407-363-6200.

The Imagineering the Magic series was created by Richard Skillman and co-produced by Richard with Cameron Roberts ,Greg Jones and Mark Rhodes of D7, a Disney production partner.
