Disney Store to Release All Remaining Princess Designer Dolls at Once
In response to backlash stemming from frustrations trying to purchase the limited edition Disney Princess Designer dolls online, Disney Store has announced a new release policy via its Facebook page. The new release policy replaces the one doll per week, online and in-store simultaneous release.
LEAKED: Disney Store ‘Princess Designer Doll Collection’ Photos
It appears that those eager to catch a glimpse of the new ‘Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection’ won’t have to wait until Disney D23 Expo after all. The dolls, which re-imagine all ten Disney princesses as runway fashion models, were scheduled to be unveiled at the Expo next weekend with one princess per week being released at Disney Store locations beginning on Monday, August 22.
The picture quality doesn’t appear to be that great, but considering they probably weren’t taken with consent, one has to forgive that just a little.

Disney Store Files Application to Attend UniBEARsity
Perhaps inspired by the success of bringing Duffy back from overseas at Tokyo Disneyland where he is a phenomenon, Disney Consumer Products has made a gesture that indicates plans to bring another Japanese bear-exclusive, this one from Disney Store Japan — UniBEARsity. The company has recently applied for a trademark for the use of UniBEARsity for ‘Toys, games and playthings; gymnastic and sporting articles (except clothing); hand-held units for playing electronic games other than those adapted for use with an external display screen or monitor; Christmas stockings; Christmas tree ornaments and decorations; snow globes.’

Building on the tremendous success of the Tiana and Rapunzel toddler dolls over the past two years, Disney Store has taken a giant leap forward with the ‘Disney Animators’ Collection,’ so named because they enlisted the services of two of Disney’s leading animators — Mark Henn and Glen Keane. The end result of nearly a year’s worth of work is one of the most gorgeous sets of dolls imaginable aimed at both the children’s toy market as well as the adult collector.
Sneak Peek: ‘Disney Animators’ Collection’ of Princess Dolls from Disney Store
Later this week, we’ll be spending some time with Disney animator Mark Henn who has served as supervising animator for most of Disney’s most memorable characters over the past few decades, including all of the modern Disney princesses through Tiana. Now Henn, along with Glenn Keane, who was supervising animator for Rapunzel, have teamed together to design a brand new of collectible dolls available exclusively at Disney Store and DisneyStore.com, appropriately titled the ‘Disney Animators’ Collection.’
In doing some routine research for our upcoming conversation with Henn, we managed to stumble upon this photo of the collection recently posted on Flickr, where the poster also mentioned the dolls have a price tag of $24.50 each.
