Even before the show set sail back in November, Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee was causing waves of excitement at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. With the show advertised to end on January 3, many were disappointed but then turned optimistic when the official site began listing the show as continuing beyond the expected final date.
While we are sad to report that the show is in fact ending today (and is explicitly listed as being performed only today on the Magic Kingdom’s Times Guide for this week), we thought we’d offer some hope of our own for those who missed the opportunity to see the moving spectacle.

Dr. Facilier’s Got Friends on the Other Side (and Now FaceBook Too!)
Step right up, folks! Dr. Facilier, a.k.a. the Shadow Man of New Orleans and the newest Disney villain (The Princess and the Frog), has recently set up shop on FaceBook and is looking for a few new victims friends to come on in and sit a spell (or curse, depending on his mood and how deep your pockets are — just kidding, it’s all free! It’s not your money he’s after anyway).
Disneyland’s and Walt Disney World’s Rivers Come Alive This Holiday Season with Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee!
From November 6 through January 3, guests at Disneyland will be treated to performances of Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! featuring songs and music from Walt Disney Picture”s newest animated classic, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana, Naveen and Dr. Facilier will all be aboard the colorful, vibrant riverboat extravaganza.
UPDATE: After receiving additional reports from multiple sources, it appears the show will also take place aboard the Liberty Belle in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland. That show is expected to begin October 26.
When Princess Tiana Visits Walt Disney World, She’s Bringing Friends… and Enemies
As we reported some time ago, casting had begun for Princess Tiana to appear at Walt Disney. Now we are pleased to announce casting will also soon begin for her beau Prince Naveen and Dr. Facilier, the villain in The Princess and the Frog.
According to the casting notices, Tiana will be between 5’5 – 5’8 while Naveen and Dr. Facilier will be between 5’10 – 6’2.
Also according to the notices, the trio will be appearing daily in shows and parades in addition to meet & greet opportunities.
New Show Headed to the Disney Magic, Tiana Headed to the Parks
A couple of entertainment announcements:
Beginning late this year, the Disney Magic will unveil a new show for which we do not know too much about, including the title or even the synoposis. What we do know is it’s from the creators of Broadway’s [title of show], Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen and involves a whole lot of villains including the newest villain from the Princess and the Frog, Dr. Facilier. He will be joined by Genie-esque emcee Hades, Pain/Panic, Jafar, Yzma, Evil/Wicked Queen, Captain Hook, Kronk, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Queen of Hearts and Ursula. Obviously villain-heavy, our only real indication of the tone of the show aside from Hades’s emceeing abilities are the good Dr. Facilier’s rendition of ‘Wind Beneath My Wings.’
