As the old saying goes, sometimes a carrot nose is just a carrot nose. While the likelihood that there is a new Frozen short on the horizon, Random House has announced additional information regarding the hush-hush Frozen: Northern Lights, which now appears to be more of a franchise. About a month ago, we reported that a synopsis for the upcoming 224-page ‘adaptation’ had been released. At that time, the title had been changed to a TBA, but now we not only have a title, but an actual cover and author’s name as well. The new book will be titled Frozen Northern Lights: Journey to the Lights and it was written by Suzanne Francis. Francis has written several Disney titles for Random House, including novelizations of Pixar’s Inside Out and Disney’s Zootopia and some ancillary titles to boot. The book is slated for release on July 5, 2016 and is available for pre-order. The official publisher’s description is as follows:
Earlier this year, we broke news about a new campaign Disney has launched titled ‘Dream Big, Princess.’ The campaign has already begun to manifest itself with signage at Target stores nationwide, as well as internationally.
Today, Disney has released a 90 second spot titled ‘Dream Big, Princess: Be A Champion’ which is set to The Script’s ‘Hall of Fame’ and kicks off with the message ‘For every girl who dreams big, there’s a princess to show her it’s possible.’ The spot compares imagery from Disney’s films including Brave, Tangled, The Little MermaidThe Princess and the Frog and Cinderella to real life footage of young girls excelling in sports and sciences.
