Ahead of any official announcement, we have learned that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will be releasing the hotly anticipated follow-up to Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 1, Volume 2, available to own on November 13, 2012 and now available for pre-order from Amazon.com.
Mr. Smee, we thought we knew you. There was no doubt that once the Pirates League moved into town and started offering pirate makeovers that major changes would be afoot. Consider the following photo that compares Mr. Smee’s old look to his new look. Seams a bit different, don’t it? And who knew Mr. Smee lacked a belly button? He must have lost it in a battle with Peter Pan. He now also sports a more texture/plasticized set of eyebrows, a completely different mouth and all over has a more cartoony look, particularly with his eyes (and I think he might have had a nose job too). I might be going overboard when I suggest I think he even shrank a bit considering the height of his eyes compared with Hook’s nose (even more dramatic when it appears that Hook is even leaning forward in the old look photo while he’s standing upright in the new look photo).
Here’s a closer look at some of the merchandise for Disney/Pixar’s UP available at the World of Disney and exclusively at FAO Schwarz along with the product displays. Many of the items at the World of Disney aren’t listed on disneystore.com either so they may be theme park exclusives.

The American Free Press is reporting that Dug and the rest of his canine pack (Alpha, Beta, Gamma and perhaps a couple of others) have secured the top canine prize at Cannes, the Palm Dog, which celebrates dogs on film.
From the article: “Up was a favourite from the word go as it featured loveable Dug and a pack of wild but wonderful hounds with comically malfunctioning human voice collars,” said journalist Toby Rose.

As we reported earlier, guests can meet the stars of Disney/Pixar’s UP at the animation building at Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning tomorrow, May 15.
Here we get our first look at the trio as they visit the park a day early to take in the sites. No word yet if the animation building will be taking flight any time soon.
This is expected to be the last week for the Bolt characters to be appearing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Bolt, Rhino and Mittens (occasionally) will be leaving the animation building to make way for Disney’s newest residents: Carl, Russell and Dug from Disney/Pixar’s Up. The trio wi – SQUIRREL!
Sorry. The trio are expected to make their debut on May 15 but there may be a delay in their introduction.
