It’s a rite of passage for most attractions: getting your very own page on the official Disney Parks websites. Earlier today, the latest to receive this honor was none other than ‘Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room’ located in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Not too much is revealed on the new page, which you can visit here, but one interesting thing to note is a meld of the old and the new. The show, according to the site, ‘pays tribute to the original Disneyland show, maintaining the original intent created by Walt Disney and his original team of Imagineers. At the same time, it features some modern technology—a state-of-the-art show-control system, remastered audio, and a new versatile and energy-efficient lighting system.’

Although the page has promised the attraction has already re-opened in August, 2011, Walt Disney World has made it very clear that the announced official re-opening date of August 15 is tentative as crews continue to work around the clock to help make that happen.

Disney Cruise Line Announces ‘Disney’s Believe’ Show, Jack Sparrow and Sneak Peek of ‘Enchanted Garden’

Disney Cruise Line's 'Disney's Believe' Aboard the Disney DreamLast week, Disney Cruise Line unveiled additional details in terms of entertainment for its upcoming ship, the Disney Dream, which is scheduled to leave the shipyard this weekend and will eventually make its way to Port Canaveral on January 4 in anticipation of its official ‘maiden voyage’ on January 26, 2011.

Back in May, we first talked about the new stage production which we now know to be titled ‘Disney’s Believe.’ ‘Disney’s Believe’ will be one of the most ambitious staged projects to date for the Disney Cruise Line. At a whopping 50 minutes in length, the show will feature a total of 18 musical numbers and over 20 popular Disney characters including Genie, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Tinia, Belle and Rafiki.

According to Disney Cruise Line, the show combines a heartfelt story with a captivating musical score, telling the story of a workaholic father who, through the power of Disney magic, reconnects with his daughter and learns a valuable lesson about what is important in life.

‘Disney’s Believe’ takes guests to the garden of Dr. Cornelius Greenaway, a brilliant botanist obsessed with cultivating his precious plants. Dr. Greenaway is so preoccupied with his garden that he overlooks the birthday of his daughter, Sophia. Saddened, Sophia makes a special birthday wish and the impossible happens: Genie from Disney’s “Aladdin” appears to make her wish come true.

Joined by a host of other characters, Genie takes Dr. Greenaway on an enchanting journey into the world of Disney stories. Through spirited production numbers, Dr. Greenaway learns that magic is real and is embodied in his beloved daughter.

In addition to ‘Disney’s Believe,’ the Disney Dream will also offer performances of ‘Villains Tonight’ and the perennial favorite, the ‘Golden Mickeys’ which also is receiving an upgrade exclusive to the Dream. Added to the show will be an aerial ballet featuring The Little Mermaid’s Ariel, a Beauty and the Beast-inspired waltz in which the Beast will transform into the Prince right before the audience’s eyes and a romantic duet with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Disney’s Tangled.

Also announced is an addition to the ‘Pirates IN the Caribbean’ party night titled ‘Club Pirate,’ which will be introduced by Captain Jack Sparrow himself along with other pirate-ized Disney friends along with ‘stunning visuals and special effects.’ Continuing the Disney Cruise Line-exclusive of fireworks at sea, the Disney Dream will also present its ‘Buccaneer Blast,’ pyrotechnic spectacular set to the music of the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

Lastly, Disney Cruise Line released this video yesterday showing a behind-the-scenes construction of one of the cruise line’s new restaurants, Enchanted Garden, which will magically transform from daytime to nighttime as guests dine.
